Geelong's 5th best defender is better than Carlton's best defender. You could probably say the same about their respective forward lines as well. And that mob thinks they're going to be a force this year. :o

According to the way you go on we are the shitest club ever, yet we finished 7th. I am confused.

Not quite the shittest club ever. You do have a good midfield, and you have Fev to carry your forward line, so 7th seems about ... oh wait. Umm ... well you do have a good midfield.

Carlton defense >>>> Brisbane defense.

Merrett - lol
Drummond - you just have to look at him and he pulls a muscle.

No idea who else you have down there

This isn't Bay13, show some stats to back yourself.

1890 - Points against (Brisbane)
2055 - Points against (Carlton)

According to stats Collingwood has 2nd best defense and that is just wrong.

Points against is more indicative of game style. You have to weigh up % scored from entries rebounds etc.

Carltons style is more free wheeling so they concede more and score more. Capish.

About the same, Harry Taylor is the flavour of the month because of his superb GF, 08 Jamison was a gun young prospect but after an injuries in 09 dampened previous form a lot of people have forgotten how good he can be.

Keep your shit on Bay 13.

No it's not, the same game plan thats gotten them into 4 finals in a row and counting.

Well your gonna have to change that due to not been able to "score more".

Could Jamison slot easily into a premiership team in his first year?

Harry had the responsibility of playing on J Brown, Buddy, Riewoldt and Pav in his first season and earned his place.

Just look at his game against the AA Captain in the grand final.

No contest in my opinion. Taylor is extremely underrated because of all the stars around him. IMHO Taylor gets tougher opponents than Scarlett.

Jamison has had to more work one out than Taylor who plays further up the ground.

In 2009, Carlton's midfielders and forwards were one of the worst in the league at getting back to help out our defenders.

Riewoldt had to compete against three opponents in the GF.

Stupid poll with one a full back and the other a CHB.

Bower is more like the athletic Taylor.

Jamison is hugely underrated by opposition supporters.

Has the pace to play tall and small after smashing Bradshaw, Koschitzke, McKinley and Medhurst.

I'm actually looking forward to Jamison playing on Fevola because he usually plays well on Bradshaw. Michael usually plays well on Bradshaw who is a leading forward like Fevola. Jamison has matched Fevola for legspeed at training and in intra club matches. Having Fev as a former teammate has probably fast tracked his development at full back.

Exactly.

As much as I don't rate Taylor as a great backman, I believe he's done better in '08/'09 in Geelong's backline than Jamison would.

I believe Jamison will be better, but he's too injury-prone and unproven at this stage to say he's better.

That just about sums it up:thumbsu:

Jamison's 08 - better than Taylor's 08

Jamison's 09 - injured so people forget, especially when compared to a very good 09 from Taylor.
