It's hard to believe no one has started a thread on this yet!

If you ever needed an example how players can loose it with pathetic umpiring then Friday night was a classic example! Jimmy Bartel was stung for a deliberate out of bounds with just over 5 minutes to go in the first quarter which I agreed with, HOWEVER, less than 60 seconds later Rhys Shaw did EXACTLY the same thing in the same pocket and McBurney let him go!!:mad:

WTF??!! Where the hell is the consistency?

Is it any wonder players, coaches and supporters lose it with umpires! But they're untouchable! :rolleyes:

Was the beginning of a miserable night for the men in yellow - literally!
 
Simply put, it was either a mistake by the umpire or he didn't see it from the angle he was on. Any observer could see that Shaw tapped it straight over the line.

I'm amazed at how many people get on here with their emotional tantrums. You have a brain - there's plenty of reasons why things happen, as demonstrated by an earlier post. Use it.

ump must be pretty quick to get to Syd in 60 seconds no wonder he missed it :)
