Thought he played really well tonight, how good was that hanball in the middle of the ground when he swooped down, one handed pick up and the silkiest handball straight to Brad Green I think it was, good signs from Watts.

Going to be a gun, never really understood all the bagging of him, probably because of the way Naitanui is going at the moment I spose, people were thinking of another Tambling and Buddy situation, which is pretty rediculous really.

Hope he proves all the ignorant people wrong, which I think he will.

He (Watts) has shown a few good signs so far, but Naitanui has dominated games and he is no where near finished developing yet.
Naitanui could be anything, I lean towards the opinion that he is going to be an absolute super star.

Lets just see how Watts goes, and stop comparing them aii.
But Watts certainly is on the right track, looks so talented it's not funny.

He's got all the tools you want from a gun KPP and then some but my query was will he have the desire and hunger to push him from a good player to elite. Riewodlt just pushes and pushes and Jack needs to learn that. Maybe the comparisons with Nicknat will be a good thing.

Really liked his game on Saturday night. Sure he faded out a little bit, but you have to expect that.

His hands are absolutely first class, and he's got unbelievable footy smarts. You do need to lock the kid in the gym for 6 months over the off-season, but he's going to be an absolutely first-rate player.

IMO you definitely made the right decision taking him. He's got a lot of quality.

Are you kidding me? I've enjoyed all their bleating. The Collingwood and Essendon games last year were all I needed to see to realise we had a serious talent. The only thing that held him back was that he was 12 years old and weighed 12kgs.

I seriously hope the sheep bleat some more, and then more again over the next couple of years as Jack and LJ rip their crap teams apart. At that point I will happily remind them what flogs they are. (Yes Matthews I am looking at you.)

Oh, and the Jack Watts polls in bay 13 should be pretty good fun around 2012.

As far as I'm concerned, he has shown enough to silence the people who said he was a dud. The only thing holding him back is the lack of a pre-season. He can't run out a game at the moment. Barely even a half. But once he can do that, he will kick a lot of goals.

This man is going to be some sort of a footballer. Really enjoyed watching him in that first quarter. I am sure you will enjoy watching him for the next 10-12 years. He has a very good football brain for a youngster.

I wish i had the audio of Leigh ripping the shyt out of him on radio after the Bombers game. Can not belive that someone like him would be stupid enough to make sweeping statments about never being any good and terrible call to take him over NikNat.

Jack Watts will be a SUPERSTAR!! In 3 years time Melbourne's decision will be well and truly vindicated, if it's not already. Naitanui, while he shows flashes of brilliance, has some serious flaws in his game. Watts' obvious flaw is physicality which will come in time.

Pretty rare that you see someone come along where you can basically say 'put down you glasses' when he gets the ball inside 50. Especially with the pressure that comes from being a No.1 pick.

In 5 years time, and some work on the tank, you will have Riewoldt MKII... with better skills. Riewoldt may in fact become known as a poor mans Jack Watts!
