Backing up iphone apps on itunes. How..?

Long story short, i'm not sure how to back my apps on itunes. I have heaps of apps on my phone, and a few that i have downloaded onto my laptop. When i click on the "Sync Apps" thing, it says that the apps on my phone will be replaced by the ones in my itunes library.

Does that men i will lose the ones on my phone and just have the ones on itunes? Cos i want them all.

Any help will be appreciated.

Are you trying to Sync it with the computer you usually Sync too? or different PC?

Ive never synced it to a computer. just got a new laptop after not having any computer for about 12 months. Just been getting apps through the app store on my phone

Pretty sure you just need to authorise it using the same username/password; then right click on the IPhone name and 'Transfer Purchases,'

Didnt work. I just wanna put my apps on my computer cos i dont wanna risk losing the lot.

Did you authorise ITunes on the PC first mate?

You're doing something wrong - transferring them from your Phone to your Itunes is exactly how you do it.

Got it sorted. Must have been doing it wrong, but then did the right click and 'transfer purchases'thing and it worked.
