FORMER Bomber Andrew Lovett is likely to nominate for the 2011 AFL Draft after today being found not guilty of rape.
Lovett's manager Alex McDonald said Lovett wanted to resume his AFL career and entering the draft was the only avenue for a resurrection after he had his contract terminated by St Kilda on the eve of the 2010 season.
''He'd love to get back into the AFL, he'd love to,'' McDonald said.
''He's still young enough.
''I know it's all a but too soon, but he had his career cut short.
''He has unfinished business.
''He understands and takes responsibility for how it finished and although he doesn’t agree with how he was treated by St Kilda, he has to move forward."
Lovett was today acquitted of two counts of rape.
Lovett, 28, joined St Kilda after leaving Essendon at the end of the 2009 season, but never played a game for the Saints, who sacked him after the rape allegations became public.
