I realise that Saturday was rock bottom, I watched every sickening minute of it not wanting to believe my eyes. I've been at all our home games not knowing if we will play as an AFL team or play as if we are asleep for the 1st quarter. And I agree that something needs to happen, we rarely play four quarters of tough football.

But for him to say what he said, he almost seemed to take delight in it.

I think Smith should direct that "blob" comment to the players and their performance on Saturday. From where I sit the club did the right thing but giving Bailey his marching orders as clearly his message and game plan wasn't up to scratch. I actually think Stynes and the board have handled themselves well, no matter what fat boys McGuire and Smith have to say.

The players, however, better take it on board. While Bailey is the fall guy a lot of the blame falls on their shoulders and they need to take stock of what is happening. They are the ones who have brought the majority of this down on themselves as they never truly work hard enough. They need to prove everyone wrong, no matter how long it takes.
