I was down staying at a mate's place in Dunsborough watching the game. It was crazy weather outside and some other mates had gone to the pub. I stayed back with a few guys watching the game, playing some drinking game along with the footy.

One of my mates, a mad Pies supporter, kept saying NicNat would amount to nothing and the "he isn't even that flashy - it's only because he's black that people notice him".

The the last quarter happened and I think I just about tore a hole in the front of my pants.

 pretty quick 50 for a ruckman. Love the influence he has on games so exciting to watch :D

Well done young fella, improving all the time and learning more and more about the game each time he plays.

That Hawthorn game was amazing loudest home game i had heard for a long long time and there was only like 31,000 ppl there.

To see Nic Nat take down the reigning premiers like that was awesome. One of my all time favourite matches.

I was a bit worried when we first drafted him (I wanted Rich) but I could not be happier. I rate his first 50 games as the most exciting by any Eagle. I've never seen a ruckman do what Nic Nat can :thumbsu:

How many has he been fit / unhampered by injury for? Looking forward to an injury free 2012, he will be massive.

I still rank that third goal in my top 5 pieces of commentary ever.

Just something special about the genuine shock when the commentator yells 'Oh Naitanui's away!!!'.

Special stuff.

I remember doing fist pumps and hollering in my lounge room in that last quarter

I believe my wife told me to "calm the f*ck down"
Been there had that done to me!:thumbsu:
I still watch that last qtr from time to time (sad I know :o) but it still gives me tingles up the spine!

He he he! :D

And BTW Piss off to all those who keep saying he is not developing fast enough, hasn't played much footy and his improvement has been vast, despite being hampered by injury!:thumbsu:

:heart::heart::heart:

I traveled back over to Perth for the first time in over 15 years to watch the Eagles vs Hawks game. I went with my brother who is a massive Hawks fan and my fiance. This was the first live game of AFL she ever saw (she is from the Seychelles) and she loves her Big Cox. That last quarter happened right in front of us. It was amazing.

Congrats big man.

I remember his 2nd AFL game, I was home alone that night and I was dancing like an absolute lunatic in the lounge during that last quarter.

Well done to Nic Nat!
