Well, saying VERY soon could mean a few things...
1 week? 2?
Will be 4 weeks since the Sydney game(first he missed) this Saturday, so might be a chance to get up for Port, they'll probably wait till the week after though.

I thought the injury was nearing on 6 weeks similar to goodes's one. Mind you 4 weeks has flown by amazing how quick time goes when your winning. I was expecting him back for maybe Geelong

He mentioned a tear of the actual tendon or something. So it seems it was pretty serious. I though they might keep him out maybe similar to goodes maybe a bit longer if we were being really cautious but it seems it was a worse injury.

I only heard a grab of the inteview so I don't have lots of details.

Terrible news. Let's hope they are being very cautious and he can get back into form quickly after coming back.

We need some sort of equation for figuring out how much longer a player will be out for rather than going by the initial assessment.
It's usually 2.6 times the amount.

Hibberd: 3 weeks (hammy) x 2.6 = 7.8 weeks
Zaka: 4 weeks (quad) x 2.6 = 10.4

Yeah, interview with hird is on the you tube now, he looked pretty resigned to not having zakka back until the last few games of the season (4 or so was the number he mentioned). Said he didn't really have a setback, no re tear of the tendon, just a really serious injury they have to be careful with.
