Been lambasted all year, recovering from a hand injury and eye correction surgery, been ordinary with some okay patches. But never lit the world on fire.

Until tonight.

How great was he in the last quarter?

Clunking marks left and right.

Didn't kick any goals, but he was immense. The man-mountain we know he can be.

Was Great to see those Overhead Marks Finally Stick.

Loved his 1st Mark where he took the Mark and then Flattened the Guy in front of him

He is so important to our structure. This is the best thing out of tonight.. Dawsy was sensational and has given our premiership chances are huge lift.

He needs to get used to just steamrolling anything or one in his path.
Great last quarter from Dawes.
Love to see him takes that form through September.
 
Yep I will put my hand up as a Dawes basher.

But he has changed my attitude towards him over recent weeks,been great!
Probably has been playing better than Trav,although Trav was ok tonight.

Anyway this win is up with the win over the Crows when they were up and about:thumbsu:

Been saying for 8 weeks show faith like they did with Hawkins and see what happens a player we know has the ability is starting to shine big men take longer

Some stupid looking people in this thread if he continues up this form getting better and better each week

The kicking to him in the first half was beyond woeful. If you want to kick it to Richards' advantage, kick scrubbers wide of the contest over and over again.

Well that does not help and been like that most of the Season
 
Interesting to see what happens when we finally put it to a forward's advantage!

Despite kicking it a few times to their loose man I thought our forward line functioned pretty well tonight. One of Sydney's great strenths is engineering loose men in defence and we were able to neutralise most contests I thought. 48 inside 50s for 12 goals (1 every 4 is about average) is good going in a wet and hard-fought game.
 
Easily his best game this year. Looked to have got his timing right by the 2nd half. His hands were much surer in the air and he just looked altogether sharper, except with his goal kicking. Dawes is more useful than Wood in nthe ruck because he is able to hold and expand his territory - he won a few hiotuts against Pyke where he out-bodied him. Cannot fault his endeavour, or that of Beams, Jolly, Blair,Reid, O'Brien and everyone else who contributed to the win
