The loss to Gold Coast for a finals spot is the most pissweak effort I think anyone has ever seen. And that includes Richmond games.

Not even the worst of the season. The loss against Port was one of the worst I've seen for some time at Carlton. The Gold Coast game was piss weak as well, but even semi-straight kicking would have seen a different result.
Although I get why an opposition supporter looking at the results in a newspaper might feel that way.

Given what was at stake at Metricon, I felt that was the worse of the two. Backs against the wall and overrun by a Gold Coast side missing half it's first 22. Limper than McAvaney's wrist.

But Carlton didn't stuff up the Cloke deal. I think Sticks comments laid out Carlton's expectations on a potential Cloke trade. We played it very nicely driving up his price with no loss to ourselves. Let's face it, it was Collingwood who stuffed up their Cloke deal.
