Howard also has a neat kick, I doubt (but hoping) that he'll make it as well.Yeah, there were a few that wanted us to use the Hrovat pick on him. Supposedly had a "neat kick". Don't think he'll ever make it.

Don't know, but there's going to be an enormous stink over it. Conditions favoured Geelong enormously since North played three tall in the forward line as they planned on a closed roof game.

How will they do that? It's either a priority pick, cash handout or forced sacking of coaching staff and/or board members. Melbourne's problems stem from their on field performances.I'll be absolutely ropable if they get a priority pick. The AFL needs to step in and help them, but giving them a higher pick so they can piss more talent up the wall is disgraceful.
The AFL need to oversee the appointment of new administration and coaching staff. The players don't care and haven't developed, therefore the problem is above them. They've instilled a losing culture and have very little upside - they need a complete cleanout of both list and administration, but I'm not sure they can be trusted to choose the right people after all the crap they've waded through the past decade or so. AFL needs to assist them imo.How will they do that? It's either a priority pick, cash handout or forced sacking of coaching staff and/or board members. Neeld gone. Has to be.Melbourne press conference coming up at 4pm. Anyone wanna speculate?
Him or Schwab. Wouldn't be surprised if Neeld resigns instead of being sacked.Neeld gone. Has to be.
Yeah, could be either. Given the kiss of death that Neeld got given this week ("he has the full support of the board"), I'm guessing it's him though.Him or Schwab. Wouldn't be surprised if Neeld resigns instead of being sacked.

Bingo.I for one do not buy that Melbourne's problem is its coach. The problem goes far deeper than that, and is a systemic cultural problem.
Are the seeds planted when the club showed no loyalty to a bunch of senior players who gave them a decade or more of loyal service only to be unmercifully dumped, now bearing bitter fruit.
I reckon it will be Schwab.
Good. Needs to be done.Barrett says the AFL is demanding to have a say in who is the new CEO
I dont think Melbourne can afford to sack their coach. Just like Port last year, they will find it very hard to find anyone of quality that would be willing to take on the job. The club is a basket case.Neeld gone. Has to be.
I'm not saying they should sack the coach, I just thought that would be "rabble logic"; the coach is often the first to go.I dont think Melbourne can afford to sack their coach. In my opinion their biggest mistake in the past few years was not appointing Sheedy as coach when they had the chance. While Sheedy is a twat of the highest order he is a very effective coach, and a very astute manager of people and players.

Agree on Sheedy. Melbourne should chase Rocket Eade with all of the bags of cash in the world. Almost think they should recruit Wallace in some regard (NOT as coach); his speeches to the players are phenomenal and could go a long way to pumping the players up and getting them to push themselves on field.
Nah they need a senior head in there, someone with experience, like Dan said Rodney Eade or Terry Wallace, someone that will actually fire them up!Thats ok mate, didnt think you were. TBH i think Gary Ayres would be the perfect coach for them at the moment, to rebuild that club.
However, until MFC get their house in order, the Melbourne coaching job will be seen as a career killer.
