Any chance of Ben Kennedy comming home if we trade Hendo + steak knives? During my pre posting days I seem to recall a poster who appeared to have knowledge of our interviews with him, said that he wanted to be picked by us. Unlikely I know but they already have a number of young players and could be bringing in another 3 early picks: pick 10, 11 (thomas compo) and potentially another for shaw, so he could become surplus to their needs. Would love to pick him up

No harm in asking.

Henderson for Kennedy would be a good get. It's basically that first round pick we were after but one year on.

So who is next?

Work on a trade deal for Polec next week but get him to nominate us first. However, I think we need a back up ruckman.

Anyone know how much Gilies is getting?

Would Podsiadly be worth pursuing for 12 months until Tex finds his feet, would be good backup and cost us nothing. Normally I wouldn't consider getting a player in his 30s but with Tex and JJ having serious injuries to recover from I think he would be a good fit

Nope, Johnston as a stop gap main target with lynch and JJ (who is ready to go by the start of preseason training) will be fine. Then when Tex comes back, those games will help their long term development.

Update: Eddie's manager is full of sh!t

Just watched the first part of Tuesday's AFL360...if COLA goes the Swanks are in deep do do. Maybe Rohan for a third round pick might work if they have to make room in their cap for the Muppett and Bondi Franklin.

Hahaha love it.

Rohan would be a fantastic fit for us, but Sydney would never let him go. I hope we work on him next year when his contract runs out and use our first round pick to get him across.

has anyone ever been able to get trade radio to work?

on android... go to matchday and click on the game feed, it will actually give you the trade radio feed.

edit: thats via the afl app

There's a 203cm Ruck in this years draft from WA. Can rest forward too apparently.

I've read that given the shift away from drafting ruckmen early, he could be there around our 3rd round pick. I'd pull the trigger. Especially on someone with genuine size.

#44 Essendon – Darcy Cameron (WA – Ruck/KPF)
Height: 203cm, Weight: 98kg, DOB: 18/07/1995
Recruited from: Claremont
Style: Dean Cox
Player comparison:
Range: 30-rookie
Profile: The best ruckman in what is a shallow draft for ruckmen. Cameron is one of the better ruckmen this year because he is not only an effective tap ruckman but because he can present as a target up forward and influence games in the front half with his clean hands overhead and ability to take marks as well as convert from those opportunities. Cameron has some size on his frame already which is encouraging and he covers the ground reasonably well for a young tall.

Although If we can change his name to Rory Cameron... I'm in.
