There's a reason why we are the most intelligent species on the planet, and that's our ability to break away from our natural make up. People who use brain chemistry as a reason is merely using it as an excuse for not being strong enough to change, or not wanting to change.

Yeah but it's all brain chemistry isn't it.. name a single emotion, thought or experience that is not perceived through brain chemistry.. our reality is chemical based and can be perceived no other way so trying to deny the chemistry is futile.. and yes you can choose to live a certain way but that is just society dictating a perceived norm.. it's not truth.. it's not even natural most times.. Do the Mormons have it wrong? the poor ole Sultan and his harem? What exactly do we have to be strong enough to change? A religion that taught sex is dirty and we were born into sin and we should all feel guilty just for being alive

I'm not refuting the idea of brain chemistry, I know it all too well, but I also know that it isn't the definition of how you live your life. From someone who deals with depression and anxiety on a daily basis, I don't just drop to my knees, accept my fate and go "oh well, that's how my brain is". I can't exactly scientifically say what it is, but there is something in all humans that let's us transcend those natural emotions, chemistry, etc. that allow us to be who we want to be. I'm not saying it's easy, definitely not, but it is there.

Society dictating a perceived norm? Yeah... probably. But in this day and age, there probably hasn't been a stronger time where there is free choice. You can do whatever you want, really, there might be an expectation to be a certain way but in the end, you can choose how you live your life.

We don't magically transcend anything, we just change our brain chemistry.. and saying keep love alive and don't be bored is like me telling you to stop feeling depressed, or telling a young footballer tanked to the eyeballs on 10 times more testosterone than a woman not be aggressive and don't chase the girls

Sure, saying "stop feeling depressed" is the wrong way to go about it, because it isn't a magical flick of the switch. But there are techniques and services provided that allow you to achieve the goal of "stop feeling depressed". Same goes with keeping love alive I guess.

What you say about changing that feeling, too requires chemicals, is correct. I don't think it's about magically transcending anything, more about how our mind is so powerful that we are able to change our unconscious and natural being.

This is all my opinion, anyway, I haven't done much or any research at all on this, but I'm confident in it.

But the mind is a chemical factory, if it's powerful at all it's because it can produce powerful drugs and uses those drugs to think and experience the world.. and that's without getting into the subconscious where most of our actions originate without our slightest knowledge.. I think it's just naïve to go against our instincts because a bunch of old men said so 2000 odd years ago.. men by the way who excluded and generally despised women and did everything to deny them basic rights.. these are the guys I'm aligning my moral compass to?

Hey if you can name a single person among the 7 billion inhabitants of the Earth that doesn't lie I will concede that point

The real issue is our nature, we have 200,000 years of genetic hardwiring geared towards the survival of the species and unfortunately for this recent concept of romantic love (which has been around less than 5 thousand years) it simply goes against our most basic of instincts

A man has millions of sperm and a biological imperative to spread that seed as far and wide as possible so that as many as possible take root

A woman has a single egg each month that must go to the best genetic material, it's precious, she has to show discrimination

Right there.. that's Venus and Mars.. the two genders have diametrically opposed agenda's and have had since time immemorial so good luck shoe horning that into happily ever after

I made my choices and wouldn't change them even knowing how pear shaped it all went in the end.. it was still the time of my life and better than being bored.. I'm never going to be proud of it but I also know I couldn't have done differently and been happy.. to this day they are my fondest memories and just last night I watched episode 6 of Dracula with my mistress who is now a lifelong friend and fellow Scotch slurpee enthusiast

We also get jealous over land and possessions too, we are kind of territorial that way, our animal lineage no doubt.. but just to be clear we are not one of the species that is monogamous, and that's not opinion, that's just science.. we'd all look like sluts next to actual monogamous species

Hey guys

If you remember I asked for shaving help like three weeks ago. Well since then I have shaved two times, and after shaving I thought that my pubic like moustaches would never grow back again and instead I would have men like facial hair like this;

But unfortunately nothing like that has happened. My pubic/teen like moustache grows back and some patches of hair on my neck. And the other thing is that it is growing REALLY REALLY REALLY SLOWLY. I have a friend who shaves every third day, he want on a holiday for one week and didn't get to shave and when he came back he had a full on man beard like the ones above.

When will my man facial hair start coming?

My beard is going grey so not sure what sort of help I can be. If I were you I would just let the facial hair grow and see what happens.
