Interesting to bookmark this as i reckon Thomas could sneak a Brownlow vote for round 1 (even though Gaz will get 3 with 41 touches) and he will get either 2 or 3 for last week against the Blues.

Good on Matty for his start so far.

For someone who was always an immaculate trainer and gave his all he never showed this much consistent accumulation despite a ridiculous number of opportunities for his output.

Hopefully he can keep it up. Was notorious at Port for having a rare stormer where he looked like Ollie Wines, before having a complete stinker where he couldn't get his hands on it, butchered the ball with every touch and gave away frees by the truckload.

Will be interesting to see how he goes in the trenches against Liberatore.

I hope BMT does alright at Richmond. He plays his role to his strengths. We will see how long it lasts for.

Horrible decision maker, Kane Mitchell clone.

Lol. That lefty kick was just about the first mistake he's made in three weeks. What is it with you and randomly picking players to hate on and jumping on them as soon as they give you the slightest chance? I know we all have our whipping boys, but it's like you actively want yours to fail.

Played like a man busting a gut to do too much and avoid the red vest.

Needed to take the first option more, instead of hemming himself on the boundary line at the full extent of his 15 metres.

Had the better of Harvey for the most part.

Probably tried too hard in the end.

Was probs the difference in us not losing but alot more! Ran his heart out all game! Doesnt deserve the vest yet!

Pittard & Hartlett would like 2 particular kicks back that pretty much gifted them the game, I'm used to seeing Pittards long bomb turnovers to a player on his own but Harts' brainfart was costly for a player of his class.

I often like your posts Schulzy :thumbsu:. we have a lot of front running supporters that only post good stuff when we win. When we lose; everything is bad.

White did himself no favours by playing so well as the sub last week.

For all his effort today Brent Harvey kicked goals when it mattered, and that's what counts for a forward.

Intrigued to see how Ken views his role going forward.

Easy to look at Harvey's stats and blame White, but the reality is he was only in any way to blame for two of Harvey's goals. He was on the bench when Harvey kicked his first, and you can hardly blame Matt White for Hamish Hartlett kicking the ball down Harvey's throat when he kicked the sealer. Even his third goal would be a bit harsh to blame White for, he was attempting to run and create and got burned by his teammates turning the ball over. Harvey's second goal was pretty much the only time all game that he beat White in a one-on-one.

The coaching staff took risks with White in the last half and they probably didnt come off, but good on them for taking those risks. White was trying to get himself free of Harvey so he could bolt away with the ball, which he did do on 2 or 3 occasions in the last quarter. Overall he was alright. Great first half. No doubting though that Harvey was the match winner when it mattered.

Pretty much my opinion. White provided quite a few good bits of run and carry, and given how the whole team structured in the last I'm pretty sure it was a coaching directive to have Matty ready to run, rather than him just getting over-eager. Unfortunate end result with Harvey winning it for them, but hopefully we live and learn from this.
