I think Joeys are to young & they may burn out.
Very even comp this year.
And well done to St Marys on the weekend.
This will give confidence to every other team that South Barwon are beatable.

what do you guys think about st albans, lara Geelong west? obviously north shore will finish below them (although they're probably a chance against st albans), but what about the rest of the ladder?
 
Geelong West V's Colac @ home.
I'm going for a draw..What does everyone else think.
West played some good footy in their pactice matches and a win in round one..Go the Roosters.

I think the pack has improved and the biggest thing is teams aren't intimated by their lip anymore. "The game is up".that party trick is over.

Reckon Newtown & Colac are the teams to beat this year.

Grovedale, Joeys, Marys & South (if they get it together) may surprise but for me it's looking like these two teams.
 
After round 6 my new end of season prediction
1.Colac
2.St Josephs
3.Newtown
4.South Barwon
5.St Marys
6.Grovedale to miss out by 1 game

Big blow for Lara given West Saints rolled them despite all of their injuries.
 
Would be nice to see one J.Brown run around in the GFL for a few games somewhere in the future.

I wouldn't have thought so. Given his rapid retirement and the reasons for it it's not something i'd think would have been even on his mind.

There was always a whisper that when he did retire he might rock up for a few games but for West fans its probably just one of those wishful thinking scenarios for a club who can't compete financially with other clubs.

He might not even move back to Victoria so it's all a moot point of discusion until that happened.
