Just as an aside how easy is it to get tickets ?

Not too sure but if you contact the Sydney Football Club they should be able to help. Failing that you should be able to buy on line if you get in early enough. Hope to see as many of you as can make it. You guys are probably in the same boat because one of the things missing from our home games are large numbers of opposition supporters and we really welcome them.

I have a soft spot for the Swans for several reasons. Firstly prior to the AFL Port Adelaide and South Melbourne played pre season trials for many years. Secondly when South Melbourne relocated to Sydney their home games were televised direct into Adelaide on Sunday afternoons and I watched regularly and got to know the players. Names like Carter, Wright, Daniher, Rhys-Jones, Round and of course Capper became favourites. As South Melbourne the Swans did not have a lot of success so it was easy to follow an underdog. Finally Port even borrowed the Notre Dame March as a club song in the SANFL. We probably would have used it in the AFL if you guys did not have it first. Then again we would have worn black and white and been the Magpies if the Carringbush had stolen that from SA.

- commentary was basically the Port cheer squad
- in NSW we weren't shown the last bounce and subsequent 16 secs of play - coverage returned with 1 sec to go

Never liked the guy, but with the exposure he's gotten through Port over the last 18 months be has really won my respect.

Fantastic match... but Derrickx has to go. Lobbe basically had a free run at every centre bounce and tapped it back to a Port player at will.

Yer he has done admirably solo rucking since round 5 has played his part got us through the toughest month of our draw can have a good rest, we can ease Pyke into the side now Richmond, GWS our next 2.

I think today's game is exactly what we needed for a few of our guys, looked rattled under intense pressure for probably the first time in a few weeks.

good thing about the swans though is the versatility - Hanneberry going forward was important in the 3rd, imo. BJ - at this stage would rather see someone like Robinson, Hewett or Jones have a crack.
