I heard that on SEN too. Anderson said on Wednesday night a few clubs believe the Dogs will regret not picking him - especially because they don't really have a dynamic tall like him. Definitely a project KPP as he needs to develop physically.

Lonie is a Blues supporter, I believe but traditionally pure smalls don't go top 30 and often drift to late-rookie. I can see us picking up Ahmed Saad or Lonie with our first in the rookie draft if not at 65. McLean (dont quote me) has slightly more midfield potential... so less one dimensional.

Could see the following occuring:

19. Weller
28. D McKenzie
61. Lonie/Boekhorst
65. Wilkinson

Have re-jigged my Top 20 and will edit initial post in that thread... but knowing me it'll change in 20 mins.

Thinking Ahern might be the one who drops to us at 19

How much have you seen of Boekhorst and the other players in this draft pool?

Haven't seen much of Boekhorst being in Vic. Seen most of the others. Toby Mclean kicks better on his left foot than Boekhurst does on his right, he will be a far better player. That's just my opinion though which counts for diddly squat.

Strange they didn't nominate Foster given they rely on an undersized trio to kick their goals.

i.e. WCE and Brisbane only need use a pick in the 7th round cos no one bid on Waterman or Clayton.

Should Derek Hine resign if he picks Boekhorst with Collingwood's second round pick?

Derek Hine has picked up duds for Pies last few seasons in Jordan Russell, Tony Armstrong & Quinten Lynch did nothing at Pies whilst their plus Jesse White even though cheap price been very poor

Hines has has a lot of misses and of resigns not confident if he comes to us. Darcy Moore will be good, pick 5 big pressure on Hines

Any interest in North Basharat's Jesse Palmer?

He finished 2nd in the goalkicking behind Foster. Though at 188cm, might suffer a similar fate to Tim Membrey.

Cal Twomey on AFL.com.au mentioned in his podcast (apparently) that we like Viojo-Rainbow @ 28 too. He's also the one that reported Boekhorst so it's pretty obvious we're not picking Boekhorst as a certainty.

Really like Viojo-Rainbow. Great interview on the AFL website - has a great attitude and is very professional off field. Great kick. Would be pretty stoked if we got him @ 28.

Good player, happy even it the late 20's still decent talent available

Maybe DVR the Lewey Taylor of the draft pool this year

Would be pretty happy should we get Menadue & Viojo-Rainbow @ #19 & #28

I've always been a believer of always go best available over needs - and that's why I think we're so lucky that this year the best available players @ our picks are generally players that we need too.

I don't know and I'm glad Rogers made it easier for us to understand when he says, "We'll pick the best player available......for Carlton"

I still think we selected the best potential talent with our first selection in 2011.............He had all the tools but just so happened to be one also.

I actually heard a rumour at work from a colleague about 2 players stock falling down to actually slipping to 19 & 28 but dunno if can take him seriously but waiting to see if anything pops up that is credible

Did you forget to put those names forward? :)

Who are they?

But no negative comments as I warn even I have trouble taking it seriously but he gave me reasons as close to certain people in charge

Lachie Weller stocks fallen due to certain clubs rating Heeney as only real Divi2 player ATM. Weller is classy but certain recruiters not convinced on him

Peter Wright apparently carrying an injury not made to public but again no confirmation and no sources to back it up again hard for me to take this serious but last few weeks just going down the order and tipped to be a foot/leg issue, tipped go maybe early 3rd. Both if true available at 19 & 28
