At least we know what stage the hearing has reached if nothing else. To take around 3 days on his opening submissions seems to indicate ASADA may be outlining a complicated case. Hard to conjecture if thats good or bad for the players.

Well The EFC silk spoke for most of the three days in the Federal court and said virtually nothing, so it is quite possible.

All they had to do was tell the judge to drop the case, and it would of all been sorted by now

The term "illegal administering" also raises my eyebrows. I suspect this term might have been invented by the reporter as it has all sorts of legal ramifications if that is really the tack the players are going to pursue.
In the event the tribunal finds against them their fallback position seems a bit precarious for a couple of reasons. (1) Many athletes have tried to play this angle, only to be thwarted by the strict liability provisions. (2) Given that none of the players thought to contact ASADA regarding the status of the drugs they were given ASADA could argue pretty strenuously that the players did not exercise reasonable care.

Mmmmmm Bloody ASADA Gee they have been a pain with their delays...This time they are going to take THREE days to layout exactly what took place with this 'program" at Essendon. Have they got no Christmas spirit for poor Essendon.
