If it's true and there are 2 other dudes somewhere in Sydney with bombs, I can't see how this will end without some serious shit going down, and likely innocent people either getting killed or injured. If the cops take him out, the other guys would just detonate their bombs, if they talk him down, his mates would still likely detonate, so if the stories about multiple bombs are true, this is going to be really bad

I'm unconvinced he has bombs planted.

Generally people who get used to commit suicide attacks (which is clearly what this is, you don't walk into Martin Pl with a shotgun and expect to get out alive) are not capable of actually planning a bombing attack.

And he's way older than the average bomb making terrorist (they usually use younger men to do it, because they're stupid)

Mate of mine is military, apparently the tactical police crews cross train with the SAS, Commando Regiment and Navy Clearance Divers; and often have members of them on loan to them.
