I can live with Gill. I can't deal with Hamish.

Word.

My wife loves Hamish and Basil. Every time they commentate I turn the tv off.

Who is this Basil you speak of?

I liked basil brush when I was a kid. That campaigner on the footy is even ruining that for me.
Just wait till he starts going "Boom boom!" whenever someone kicks a goal, or takes a nice mark. :D

I get why Collingwood get the prime time slots. They draw large crowds and TV audiences and are finals contenders more often than not over the last 15 years. Richmond and Carlton however play a shit, boring brand of football. Have missed out on most of the finals series over the last 15 years and still get 6 to 8 games a season on Friday nights. The AFL are pretty gutless when it comes to making bald decisions in general, but this issue in particular really gives me the shits more than anything.

Playing devils advocate here.... Carlton received a lot of the shizen, experimental time slots like Thursday and Monday night games.

Horrible nights for footy.

Fair point but why should we be the ones to suffer...

Yeah I get Collingwood, and I also get Richmond to a degree. Their support in Victoria is flat out ridiculous. They could be last on the ladder and they'll still draw very good TV ratings, which is what the Friday night "blockbuster" is all about. At the same time, you'd think that such clubs will be able to dominate the TV ratings no matter when they're playing.

The team that shouldn't be getting so many friday night games is Carlton. They are a disgrace of a club right now. Severely overrated. Bottom 4 contenders, play an ugly brand of football. They don't have any "star" players who are worth watching (Judd is past it, Murphy/Gibbs etc haven't developed) and they always serve up terrible footy. The only thing worth watching is the post-game presser with Mick, and that fun so to speak is getting past its use-by date.

That part I'm starting to think might be true, he's a much bigger loss to our midfield than Walsh as coach was.

funny thing is last week i said lobbe is clearly and obviously our biggest out, some clowns wanted to argue...well thats worked out well for them. we are completely ****ed without lobbe.

Lobbe is very important for his leadership, hence being made VC. Having both Ryder and Redden who are not used to working with our midfield as well as being physically underdone was a big part of us getting smacked in the clearances.

If they can find one.

Obviously you missed the fun of the gameday thread last night. If there's something that Crows fans can find an abundance of, it's dicks.
