Traded Patrick Dangerfield [traded w/ pick 50 to Geelong for 9, 28 and Gore]

Let's say it does go to trade table, and by the recent rumblings sounds as if Motlop is staying as he said in an article he wants to stay. If Geelong uses pick 1 on Henderson, then it might come back to bite Adelaide on the arse. All I could see being offered is next years first round + this years second round.

Poor danger Geelong putting their priority into getting Henderson than helping him realise his dream in getting back to Moggs. Gee I feel sorry for him adelaide should offer him an additional $100k if they would rather spend their efforts in getting Henderson than danger

Gives me a migraine headache reading your drivel.

Poor Danger currently playing for a club he no longer wants to play for. Poor bloke.

I'm sure you've read how much he loves the Adelaide footy club, did you just think he didn't like the AFC
He admires Adelaide... so much so he's refusing to sign another contract.

I thought you were going to ignore me, and no he clearly states how much he loves the AFC
Then why hasn't he signed if he loves the club so much?

You don't match an offer with the intention of actually retaining the player. You match the offer to maximise the return for the player by way of trade. It's nothing to do with 'culture'. Just because the contract is 'matched' doesn't mean Dangerfield stays a crow - everyone at the club (and most semi-intelligent people on the planet) would understand that it's clearly just a way to increase the club's net return in the wake of losing their best player. The 'message to the playing group' would be 'pick 11 and a player is better than pick 13'.

That's not the reason why RFA was bought in. It was to allow mid rung players that opportunity to get their market value. Players would except less knowing that organising a trade was getting impossible.

Matching to trade is exploiting. Still fair enough but it's not the intention of the rule

So he has come out and said "I love this club, my management is currently working through a new deal and it will be signed at the end of the year?"

Oh you from the AFLPA are you

He did come out and say how much he loves the AFC and no he hasn't said anything about signing, remember I think he is leaving.

Now I've answered your questions

Why would the AFC short change themselves and accept a compo pick when they could match and if PD is so desperate to get to Moggs make sure he has no chance of entering the PSD by forcing a trade. Are the AFC just plain stupid and want less compensation that is possible for danger

Yes

ha ha you are one very thick....

I forgot you claim to know the Prosciutto's so you know all the facts.

I actually kinda feel sorry for you if this inevitably plays out like every other deal has and like most media ppl keep guessing will. If there is no trade you'll be the nuffy on the news microwaving his membership in his Adelaide pj's.

Will you be sticking pins into your Danger voodoo doll or Fagan/Roo doll?

And what will you be doing when you trade away motlop and your first rounder for PD so effectively two first rounders
