He's made flashier plays, bit I thought this run was quite impressive.

up in Vikings land they have an award for "Mr Mankato" - it's usually awarded to the long shot who impressed enough during pre-season and training camp to make the final roster - Hayne is a lay down misere for the "Mr San Francisco 49ers Training Facility" award. You can only play against the shit they put up

Like I said depends how he performsIf performing better than the starters in the pre-season meant you replaced them as the starter, the pre-season would be a different looking thing altogether. Do the numbers on some starting QBs and the 2nd/3rd stringers and you might see those QBs being replaced. It is a play management game for those starters. Running/throwing etc against other teams 2nd/3rd stringers doesn't make you the starter.
Easily. Helps that he's getting nice face time too.up in Vikings land they have an award for "Mr Mankato" - it's usually awarded to the long shot who impressed enough during pre-season and training camp to make the final roster - Hayne is a lay down misere for the "Mr San Francisco 49ers Training Facility" award.
There's no middle groundsome of us are trying to be objective GG
No doubt but Hayne would have Hyde (who is the clear #1 and heir to Gore's throne), Reggie Bush, Kendall Hunter and quite possibly Mike Davis ahead of him on the depth chart at RB. I'm not saying he won't or can't make it in the NFL just he's pushing shit up a hill to supplant Hunter and Davis before biting into Hyde/Bush snaps. You never know what might happen on the injury front ausbacker my guess is he'll only get a look in if there are injuries to either Hyde or Bush.
Coming from the AFC East, I know what you mean. You can only play against the shit they put up

Webb looked good last year too and nothing came of itBTW - from what I saw of week 4 of the pre-season, Cam Newton is in trouble at Carolina - go Joe Webb!

I think Hunter would be a good chance of being cut now.No doubt but Hayne would have Hyde (who is the clear #1 and heir to Gore's throne), Reggie Bush, Kendall Hunter and quite possibly Mike Davis ahead of him on the depth chart at RB. I'm not that impressed with Hayne the NFL convert but I'm happy to acknowledge the guy has done as much as he can to earn a roster spot.
All you blokes realise YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THE MEDIA REPORTS ANOUT HAYNE IF THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM WITH HIM.
Actually, using that excuse is bullshit. You guys just want to find something to hate on.
You're pathetic.
