Coaching Staff Senior Coach: John Worsfold - Thank you John

So Bulldogs success was all the work of Beveridge? What did McCartney do wrong exactly. Griffin didn't like the responsibility so ran away and Minson sooked because McCartney could see the writing on the wall....and Minson lost his place this season.

What did he do that was so good?I would bloody well hope that the one aspect of the game he obsessed about to the detriment of everything was taught to the players well.

If McCartney is responsible for the Dogs, it should be Worsfold who is recognised as premiership coach if the Eagles get up this year.

Taught them how to play, look at their forward pressure, tackling, quick development of many of their youngsters.
Walls was right, Worsfold was a one trick pony, never a plan B. Someone had a go at me here saying McCartney was boring....heck me, wait until worsfold arrives without an elite midfield/ruck.

He had a plan b, swing Hunter forward.

With what Skipworth has been able to accomplish with the magoos, does he deserve a crack?

I really want McCartney to coach us, I would love for him to have time and put together his very own list.

You need to put Walls opinion in perspective. The night of WC'S premiership in 2005 he stated it was tainted.

No surprise Walls doesn't rate Worsfold.

Presumptuous of him.

Why not?

Everyone deserves a chance. Just because he hasn't had a development role at another club doesn't mean he couldn't do the top job.

He'd have the support networks in place.

I think he's done a pretty good job with the 2's this year.

He took a vfl team to a prelim. Cool your jets. So many better options out there.

I hate the bearded clam and I don't care if anyone goes him for being him, he regularly does Essendon like that too. However, in this case I agree with him. Worsfold never stood out as a special coach. He finished burnt out and has since been out of the game. Pass.

However, if he's director of coaching I'm interested. He clearly is a smart and hard man. If he was there to oversee the program run by a young, hungry and modern coach who has a flexible intellect.

See my post above.

Worsfold overseeing Dew.

I could handle that. I wouldn't mind Carracella either. Very smart bloke who has been involved in success at three clubs and played finals at another one. I reckon he's be able to make the tough calls while keeping players on his side.

He took an ordinary VFL team to a Prelim that could have very nearly been in the Granny.

Personally I'd like Woosha as he has the runs on the board, but don't underestimate the ability of a "no name" coach who can get the most out the cattle he has at his disposal.

Ordinary? Put a key forward the quality of Brown or Grimley in that side and Essendon are flag favourites. You have obviously watched very little VFL this season.

Nah you're wrong

Yeah he probably won't appreciate it when people give their opinion as being emphatically correct with no wiggle room.
