3- It was stated earlier today that we don't want to get caught short trying to land a CHB in the future and have the same situation that the WB's had with a key forward all those years.

I like Delaney, but he's done his job for a couple of years. We need to upgrade on him as our team improves and use him only as a fall-back option.

Hed one hell of a handy back up wouldnt he.. gone will be the days where we loose a fisher or dempster and get totally vulnerable.
Also i believe some good competition in the backline may get the best out of him.

i think Carlisle has all the talent in the world to be an Elite All Australian CHB, people are forgetting how good he is and his last month this year in the back line was very damn good. Trust me we wont regret the 5 year deal and if we do he will hold some value to get atleast a 2nd rounder back in future at worst which is what im expecting to part with ultimately

Unlikely clubs get in his way, most are pretty pragmatic as they may need to deal with us or similar in the future.

Carlisle this year, because nobody can forecast who will be available next year let alone them coming to the Saints.

Been floating this for a few weeks. For some reason I can picture him in a filth jumper, don't ask why though. Perhaps involved in a trade for Freeman with our third as realistically, Saundo offers little trade value.

This is legitimate guys he will be offered 4 years tommorow. Was a bulldog supporter growing up. The jungle drums are beating out west with jake. Carlton are gunna have to offer 5 years.and essendon will land our first pick for jake.
