Didn't really know where to post this or if it has been covered before but I found it somewhat amusing.

On the Port website is listed all past players (AFL post '97) who have either been on the senior list or rookie listed and played at least one game. A notable omission is one T. Chaplin. I thought the list could be past players who have retired yet still listed are Newton,Pearce, Jacobs & Burgoyne. Even our recent delistee's have been listed. It seems bridges were burnt so badly we have stricken him from the record books.

I noticed the same thing a while ago. Even the official club is trying to erase him from our history.

AFL Fans Association have named Port cheer squad member, Liam Biggs as best AFL supporter (male) and The Alberton Crowd as the best AFL Supporter group for 2015.

Liam Briggs is a geniune die hard who lives for Port Adelaide. I'm pretty sure he's a trainer for the Maggies as well.

The Alberton Crowd generate a bit of noise but most of their chants are boring and derivative and they are easily drowned out by people who are a bit more adept at getting a crowd going.

Yes him and his dad are both trainers for the maggies (as quoted in the facebook message of AFL Fans Assoc).

Not a fan of TAC whatsoever. One look at their chants page and you will feel ill that this group have won this 'award'

If you've ever experienced the Bay 118 guys at an away game and the sort of unique, infectious and glorious chants and songs they get going, even with people who wouldn't usually get involved in that sort of thing, you'd know what I mean about TAC and their comparative drab, derivative boringness.

Everybody Port Now (Port! Port! Port! Port! Port! Port!)

First of all who is this phantom AFLCA organisation? Sounds like a bunch of people that have come together on the internet to complain about food pricing and make up fake awards. Anyhoo.

As to my main point the people in the TAC are passionate about the club no doubt but the way they go about some things are way off the mark. Theres been a few things such as the elimination final last year when they informed the travelling Richmond Supporter group to wait at the train station for the march and to create a bottle neck so they could have their stupid chant off. I know people at the club weren't happy with that. There's been a couple of other things but probably best left.

I think some people in that group have watched a few too many Green Street Hooligans movies.

In this thread we see Doctor Feel jealous because he's never successfully started a chant

Bullshit, I've started hundreds of chants. "Pooooooowwweerrr" was my idea and so was "power" clap clap clap. You could even say I started the ball rolling with NTUA.

Said organisation owned the behind-goals antics at R1 2013 to the point where big guy in TAC (we all know the one) broke away from his herd and joined in (songs/Portznan) with puzzling intimacy.

WhyAlwaysMe: "do you know that guy or?"

tribey: "I thought you did!"

I was just reading some stuff written by an economist about australian brands and their iconic position in australian forklore. He was talking about weet-bix sales falling apart, VB losing 15% of its market share and the plights of quiksilver and billabong. He then mentioned this:

"Four’N Twenty pies are the biggest pie brand in the country, and sales are up. Patties Foods made an extra 5 per cent in pie sales in the last year."

Port memberships go up, 4n20 sales go up. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

It's pretty much the only sponsor I've purposefully bought a product from but I quite like their angus pie.

Those angus beef must have particularly tender noses, ears, trotters and tongues.

During the Essendon away trip my friends and I made a bit of a game of getting the people around us to drown out their chants until, similarly to with you guys, they gave up and joined in.

With all the 'Yes We Ken' stuff Chokito did last year (thanks to Vic Pisani for the original design), surely he should've been given this fan award last year?
Has anyone tried to travel across the country with 500 shirts, and then proceed to sell them?
hahahah!!
I will accept a pair of PAFC track pants as a prize in hindsight :P
