Mathieson is who i think we take and if so that means we cant carry Ross,Dunstan and Matho.

Personally think Dunstan is a gun just struggled abit this year.He also adds a goal threat

I agree on Dunstan, I think he struggled a little bit this year but still played some good footy, and as you said can kick a goal. Also think he is a real leader.

Even if we don't land Carlisle, I love what the club is doing in regards to the rebuild.

Ahh yes, cause the club couldn't have been the issue here. Certainly not one with such a good record of player welfare as the Bombers!

Exactly. We are huge on a players character. Would we really forget about that now? Jake is a different kid but his attitude is and will be fine, in fact our players hold him in high regard for an opposition player.

From about 4 minutes, not a lot in it actually. Watson just projecting that the Dogs weren't feeling the love from what Beveridge said the other morning, so that comment that the Dogs are out isn't really coming from any real information. And Andy Maher, well who knows how good his Carlton mail is. But Carlton seem to be making progress with GWS for Plowman and Tomlinson, and with Aish possibly getting pushed into the draft may set their PSD sights on him instead. Not good for the Bombres if that unfolds, as we'd have them over the proverbial barrel. :rainbow:

But as Stavro said, Jake coming in for a medical suggests we're fairly progressed, and not being played as some have suggested.

On SEN they just said that the Bulldogs aren't feeling the love from Carlisle so it was down to two clubs, Andy Maher then said he didn't think that Carlton was really any chance either due to a spanner in the works down there which he didn't divulge, so its down to one club....

SEN idiots, obviously haven't read the Bulldogs board, he nominated them yesterday according to them.

When he is running about in Red White and Black next year, they will still be saying he is coming to them

The bloke who said it would be yesterday posted again saying 'sorry a few days out. Monday will be the day'.

Funny bunch over there

Players would be shitting bricks, not knowing what was injected into them. They originally bought the company line, but as time has passed, more and more of them are jumping ship... and for good reason. To me, that's the most compelling evidence that the club ****ed up. Had they kept Hird, I suspect an even bigger exodus would have been on the cards.

Paddy is yet to sign, but our list management team have no worries about his contract discussions, he'll put pen to paper sooner or later. He's incredibly loyal, we will build around him in the years to come.

why would he be more loyal then any other player who has only played 1 year?

ps has Savage been re-signed?

ah yes, just saw that. Funny how before the asada saga you never heard a peep about carlisle. Now he is a trouble maker because he has a low opinion of the bombers

Spot on !
Jake may have anger management issues but who wouldn't dealing with those toss pots Essendon footy club .
1 no drug problems
2 not a piss head ( yet )
3 no apparent home sickness

He sounds like a perfect pick 24 trade to me.

For a player like Carlisle who hasn't had anything serious injury wise it's a general check of everything, just to make sure one of his legs isn't about to fall off.
For a player like Nathan Freeman we'd be looking at MRI scans and chatting to surgeons etc to gather more information on what has happened, where he's at and also our doctors would need to be comfortable that he'd be able to get back to an acceptable physical condition. All in all its just to make sure we will not find any nasty surprises once the player signs. Look at Richmonds medical discovering Trengoves stuffed foot last year.

or Jonathon Hay who had suffered depression. or many other players

The mental side of health is a whole other issue. Not sure about other clubs but I know St Kilda would be as well placed as any to handle any mental health problems. A lot has been learnt in recent seasons at our club.
