Let's keep this thread relevant to this particular movie, not the whole Star Wars franchise please.

I feel a thread ban on the horizon

Can envisage the celebrations.

Anyway, in a rare post actually releveant to this thread, Abrams confirmed what many thought when that image of Starkiller Base was revealed in the poster last month.

"It is very much — and it’s acknowledged as such in the movie — apparently another Death Star," Abrams told EW. "But what it’s capable of, how it works, and what the threat is, is far greater than what the Death Star could have done. Starkiller Base is another step forward, technologically speaking, in terms of power."

I'm out of this thread, way too many spoilers for mine. Chow

I wouldn't recognise a spoiler for this movie. Mass reports of a spoiler as they come up would get me interested.

Me too. ..that one above you is ****ing disgraceful whether it be true or not....disgraceful. ..cant glenferry23 read the thread title?

I assume then you've steered clear of official trailers, posters, TV spots and interviews with the cast and crew.

Anyway, have used spoiler tags above.

Don't be smart, a spoiler is a spoiler you upset me and hairy lasoo with your post, that's enough.

Btw, another thing.....in all the movies you never see any written words in the scenes, like signage, names on buildings, equipment, etc etc.
It's interesting given every human character speaks English, but we never see the English language. Yet among alien characters who speak their own language we do see their language/hieroglyphs.

Probably to represent they aren't 'really' speaking English. Long time ago, far far away etc.

In the prequels (woah! woah!) I recall sometimes you see made up symbols on the jet pilots view screen thingies.

Prophetic.

Threadban glenferry23

After harassing ONE person about keeping to the rules he immediately posts a spoiler.

Off with his head.

Btw....everyone else is going off talking about prequels, like just above. Hypocrite Mr Ferry.

Practically speaking....SW is such a large topic, and we're in the midst of a new movie after a decade, that you're bound to get SW-related tangents happening often, like the conversation I initiated above about english language. It's hypocrisy and anti-gg agenda to pick on one person for it.

That was one of Lucas' first post release changes the original text in Star Wars was all in English.

Had to be changed because deciphered it is the names, street addresses and contacts of the Binks family who were to receive death threats following the release of E01.
