He is such a dynamic player. If they can turn Boyd into a big gorilla up front forcing teams to use a 2nd or 3rd tall on Stringer, Stringer will just run rings around them. I think he's the kind of guy who, if he is getting beaten, could be thrown down back in a similar role to McGoven and have the same impact.

that guy Adam H is a reverse troll. Was one of the first added to my ignore list.

Stringer was a top 5 pick in a good draft despite not playing football for a year.

Membrey was a 3rd/4th round pick who saints weren't willing to trade a pick for.

Comparing Membrey to Stringer is like saying Liam Jones is going to turn out to be better than jeremy cameron.

Truly exciting player is Jake and gee whiz i reckon he will have 10x the career than Boyd who just got paid 6 million for 7 years cause he was a high draft pick and taller......

That Boyd deal could really cripple the Dogs in the next few years as Stringer is set to explode and demand more cash, not to mention the many mid field young kids they have that also want to get paid soon and showing good signs. Easton Wood also developed into one of the best intercept marks in the comp down back in 2015 and i would reckon he would be on a low salary currently which is sure to change.

Doggies are really exciting and i hope they do well but that Tom Boyd deal could really cripple them in the next 3 years if he does not come on and i have a gut feel Boyd will be nothing more than mediocre on superstar dollars laughing all the way to the bank.

Hes a gun, I think he'll be consistently good and rack up a few AAs by the end of his career. He probably wont get the best KPD each week either, which will certainly help his game.

Is that because you were the ones who missed out on his services ? Or just basing it on the fact you guys have totally ****ed up signing uncontracted players the last three years before silvagni turned up.
He would only be on about 200K more than what Daisy is currently on, which when you put it like that. It's about a depth player not really getting a game who we wouldn't have. Liam Jones FFS would be on about 400-450.

And just to let you know we re-signed Dahl, Stringer Bont and Macrae all last season.

On topic, yeah that Stringer guy goes ok. His combination of speed, size, skill and strength make him almost impossible to match up on. I'd have Spurr go to him in round 1 but we'll be relying on team defence to shut him out. Need to avoid letting him get 1 on 1's.
