Again interesting but again you ignored the actual point raised. :) I feel you won't ever address it.
Well I don't get what point you're talking about, given I explained the "officially cheats" thing.

Not even a fan of sharapova, but on the surface this seems rough. Plays her whole career using this medication/drug, then bang they ban it and in her first and only tournament since the drug is now banned, she tests positive for it. There is something fishy going on.

Wada have long wanted a big scalp in tennis, I just find it interesting that out of all the top make and female players of the past 10 years, it's sharapova who is the one caught out. Forget about the 3 males who can compete in 5 hour matches back to back in a grand slam with less than 2 days recovery or the 1 female who id's the size of a brick shithouse and once avoided a drug test at home.

Hopefully sharapova gets no longer than 3 months.

If WADA is consistent (yes, that is a meant to be a joke), Sharapova can't get a reduced penalty if she wasn't declaring it on her pre test form. You know, that would be concealing it from the testers, eventhough she thought it was legal. Michael Beloff would be very troubled if this were the case. Not sure why he would be troubled, but he would.

Where did I mention journalists? When old mate said "it's started already" I assumed he meant HTB flogs. Hence "flogs gonna flog".

No, I meant the articles linked to. I don't frequent the HTB anymore.

You explained why you keep saying the players are "officially guilty" when people say they don't believe they are guilty yet use "common sense" for Maria?

Except I never said she wasn't guilty.

My point was, given what was known at the time (just after it came out) most would view it as a simple mistake, hence common sense. But if they think different, then that's fine.

Nike have suspended her sponsorship - pretty much immediately.

Former grand slam champion Jennifer Capriati has lashed out at Maria Sharapova on social media, after the Russian tennis star announced that she had tested positive to a banned substance at the Australian Open this year.

In a series of angry tweets, Capriati described herself as "disappointed", and called for Sharapova to be stripped of her titles.

"I had to lose my career and never opted to cheat no matter what. I had to throw in the towel and suffer," she wrote.

According the Ings, WADA knew who were taking this substance in the last year. What's the bet that WADA knew she (and possibly others) were previously taking this substance based on those results and target-tested them in order to try and get a few big scalps.

182 positive tests were returned last year when they were searching for athletes using it.

I feel old because most people associate "Wrecking Ball" with the Miley song, whereas to me it's Springsteen's song I think of.

Why on earth don't all professional athletes have a register they go to and put in the drugs they are taking. Then if any changes happen to that drug they can be informed to stop taking them before they get shit canned. Any player testing to drugs not on their list can be warned and suspended. This bullshit about players being responsible is a very outdated technique that belongs prior to the invention of personal computers
