Can see why he is a Shit Coach

At this stage I have to agree with Connolly. Aish doesn't go hard at the contest on my limited viewing and if you are going to be outside you need to deliver well.

Hope to be proved wrong but I get where the view is coming from.

20 year old.
Most of his possies are made because he gets in and wins the ball under pressure.
Hard to make an effective disposal when you get the ball in traffic.
He can, and should, improve with the right coaching.

How can he Improve his Delivery?

I dunno, I admit he's borderline, but I'd have him in at the moment based on both potential (once he's learned our systems better) and last game's performance.

According to the stats sheet, he had third-highest number of disposals (adams no. 1), and although just average DE (about the same as Adams, 69), he in fact had the same number of clearances as Adams, only one fewer contested possession, and two more one-percenters. I mean, that may not be "going hard", but it doesn't suggest a pure soft outside player (only 1 tackle, though). Can't remember what situation his kicks were taken in, in the actual game, but I reckon that (like Adams, actually, when he first came to us) he might be trying a bit too hard at times and so over-thinking things. Must be big pressure, being traded as a young kid for a high price. Look at how it's affected Boyd...

I also wonder if he ended up with less outside room due to having fewer regular midfielders around him to feed him/take the heat off.

We will see.

We had a few players we brought in that came good in there 2nd Season after a Under Whelming 1st Season

I reckon his confidence has probably taken a hit from his bastardisation at Brisbane and now he has to prove himself again down here as a highly touted blow-in.

I think he's smart, as a guy, and is probably trying to get a grip on his new environment and is playing it safe with safe handballs. Ultimately we need him to not be the safe player but a set-up, outside player. I think he can get there and might be dipping his toe in.

He's evidently not an extrovert and a risk taker but probably possesses fine skills. He might be beating his own path - understand the plan, do the small things well, get settled, then start to show us his skills which require risk-taking.

He should look no further than Taylor Adams for the answer Dave.

Like others have said he is 20 years age.

He will be a good footballer for us.

He 'struggled' against Geelong? Well no point reading the rest of the article then. But considering I did what else do we have, '5 of 12 kicks were effective'; that's great (or not.. depending on if you consider Toovey as the benchmark for DE) but I don't recall any of those resulting in direct turnovers, just stoppages, so it's not the end of the world. Furthermore he got quite a few possessions in congestion, whether or not they were contested I'm not sure, but it meant his kicks were rushed, which is hardly something commonplace for a 'sweeper'.

As for the journalist in question: 'Aish and Treloar' doing the heavy lifting in the midfield? What kind of bullshit is this? I hope all of you guys who are saying 'I agree with him' actually read the article and agree with De Goey, Adams, Greenwood, and Crisp being omitted.

20yo (doesn't turn 21 till Nov), 32 games under the belt (4th in Rising Star), excellent work ethic and attitude, chose the Pies over all other clubs and withstood extreme pressure throughout trade period, solid (although not spectacular) NAB1 and NAB2 performances.

Is he a consensus lock to be in our best 22 for round 1, hmm, maybe not but we are batting about 30 deep at present!

Is he in my best 22 for round 1, absolutely. I'm backing him in to have a good 2016 and excellent career in the black and white!!
