Say we didnt trade for Jake Carlisle. Who would we have taken?

Pick 5 became pick 6 after the Swans matched Demons bid on Callum Mills.... So that leaves Francis, Ah Chee, Milera, Gresham, etc

Pick 24 became pick 29 after all the early Academy bids were matched..... So that leaves Morgan, Redman, Hibberd, Sier, Clarke, Bonner, Balic, Mathieson, etc

Our 3rd round pick shifted down from around pick 44 to Pick 40 due to other clubs picks being lost though academy bids & we took Brandon White


Are any of those possible combinations actually better than Gresham, White & Carlisle?

Time will tell, but I think we did very well out of that deal. I don't thinkany of the guys we would have taken at pick 6 would have been a great deal better than Gresham.

The difficulty of quitting is a myth - it's about wanting to quit and knowing how to modify the habit. Gum, patches - they're a scam.

But that's irrelevant, the point is if he smokes it's not the end of the world. I just want him to get through this year and keep motivation, dedication and ability. Want him to come out and be an asset in the 2017 season.

Please let this be the biggest issue we ever have to discuss regarding Carlisle.
I also loathe smoking, but at this stage it is not illegal and if he has to have one vice, I'd rather it be this than the other.

I really liked Milera but I think he wanted to stay in SA but apart from him I'd go with Gresham

Ryan Clarke with the second pick would have been pretty sweet along side Francis but I'm a big Gresham fan and was very pleased we took him instead of Matho, that said Matho was a pretty nice get with a second rounder too. Milera will be a little champ too. I just wish we had got Clayton Oliver.

Hasn't this been known for a while that we would not pay the contracts and either the bombers/afl pays or it would go to court he even said Port and Melbourne hasn't payed their payers massive beat up

Its a move along nothing to see here moment. Basically Barrett said what he said about Carlisle as though it was big news, then, almost as a mumble in the same one breath after that mentioned that Crameri, Monfries, Ryder and Melksham were all in the same boat - ie not getting paid and looking to sue someone.

Its crap how Jake was singled out by him - he just knows that (due to his indiscretions) a mention of Carlisle will increase the likelihood of someone actually listening to him.
