To be honest, I don't think game plan/coaching is either side's biggest problem...Collingwood have loaded their list with small-medium, slow midfielders with ordinary disposal and terrible spread from the contest, and Richmond just have too many average players. Game plan etc could be better but I look at the listed side for each team and think, "Wow, they're mediocre."

Richmond have close to the worst 14-22 players (as in those spots in the team) of the contending sides. I'm not sure how you can be expected to even win a final with so many passengers let alone a flag.

My preseason assessment of Collingwood is looking pretty good at the moment too.
