don't know why someone would nom Elegantly Wasted when they could have nommed these INXS title tracks off much better albums.
May or may not have forgotten about the others being title tracks. Never was big on Kick (the song) myself tbh.

Shit, missed the cut off. Oh well - these are the two I was tossing up between:

Brand New - Daisy

Amy Winehouse - Back To Black

5 votes Daisy

We used to say when a song was killed on the radio it was triple m'ed.

Wish you were here has been song contested.
I'd say Heroes fits that description better.

Also thought about nomming one of these Doves title tracks but they probably would've got donuts or close to it.

Doves would get votes from me.

"Houses of the Holy" is not an album title track.
It first appeared on Led Zeppelin's subsequent album, Physical Graffiti.

It won't be getting any votes from me.

PM whoever nommed it and get them to nom an alternate track for the playlist.

One of my ideas for a theme is "songs that became later album titles/album titles that later became songs" but I'm not sure if there would be enough material.

Nah, there's not that many of 'em… Not enough to warrant its own theme.
It'd be more like a Mastermind quiz than a Song contest. :D

I'm taking the view that the person who nommed it can just take the few votes that will presumably come his way.

Alright encyclopedia, you forgot one.

Wouldn't hurt to PM them and change the playlist, would it?

That way, they might still have a chance of winning the round and won't f**k up the Billy Madison voting...

A few more:

P.I.L - "Happy?" (appeared on: 9)
PJ Harvey - "Dry" (appeared on: Rid of Me)
Spacemen 3 - "Sound of Confusion" (appeared on: Walkin' With Jesus)
The Mars Volta - "Frances the Mute" (appeared on: The Widow)
Foo Fighters - "The Colour and the Shape" (appeared on: Monkey Wrench single as a b-side)
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - "Nocturama" (appeared on: Rock of Gibraltar single as a b-side)

I figured Acca Dacca would make a comeback this round and you'd either nom "Let There Be Rock" or "For Those About To Rock"
