Can't see why any club would see him worth anything in a trade beyond possibly a low PSD pick.

No denying his struggle for form over the past two seasons but what we saw in the 2014 Grand Final was breathtaking and if he can get back to that form we'll have a player on our handstouche what a player, wonder how Hawks or someone else gets him back to his awesome best
And a DVD of the 2002 Anzac day game will tell you Mark Mcgough is a superstar.Go ahead get yourself a DVD of the 2014 granny

He may have been, had the talent just far to lazyAnd a DVD of the 2002 Anzac day game will tell you Mark Mcgough is a superstar.
A Grand Final is no run of the mill Anzac Day game. And a DVD of the 2002 Anzac day game will tell you Mark Mcgough is a superstar.
That's kind of my point. History is full of players that have played games that make you think they will be great, but one game does not make you a star.He may have been, had the talent just far to lazy
If you don't know the Hawthorn list that well, that's fine, but continually crapping on about how there's no young talent on the list is just dumb.I think Hawthorn are seriously over-rating players like Howe, Sicily, Whitecross and a whole bunch of others in the 19-25 range on their list who are the equivalent of a third round draft pick. Trying to find trade value on the Hawthorn list isn't an easy job because of all the older quality players they can't let go and lack of quality talent at the lower end. Burton is probably the best (only) bit of real talent Hawthorn have under the age of 23 with the exception of those who have never played a game.

Im not going to get into a shitfight over Langford's abiliy
Hey Abasi, apologies if I've been a bit cranky with you in the past buddy. Personally I don't rate Hawthorn's youth much, it's probably not too dissimilar to Collingwood's youth 2004 circa.
Who do you rate as your top five kids 23 years and under. I'm genuine when I say that your youth is about on par with NM's, actually ahead but behind nearly all other clubs, that is coming from someone who doesn't watch Box Hill though, obviously.
Think the fact this yrs pick is the highest we've had since 07 shows why our 23yr olds and under list is about were you would expect .Hey Abasi, apologies if I've been a bit cranky with you in the past buddy. Out of interest MB who are your top 5 23 and unders ?
Except that by commenting, you literally did just that.
They all first rdrs ?Good question
Treloar
Grundy
Moore
Degoey
Aish
The weight of evidence might suggest that his 2014 finals series was the anomaly, not his form prior and sinceNo denying his struggle for form over the past two seasons but what we saw in the 2014 Grand Final was breathtaking and if he can get back to that form we'll have a player on our hands
Now you are being deliberately obtuse. I can spell it out clearly for you, but I don't really think I need to, do I?I literally started fighting with shit did I? Literally?
That's entirely the point. Hawthorn on one hand saying they've got great young talent, on the other hand saying they haven't had any decent picks so haven't got any decent talent. They all first rdrs ?
In fact top 10's ?
Of course we have the least talented youngsters, we've played off in the last 4 Grand Finals, and the year before that played in a PrelimThat's entirely the point. Hawthorn on one hand saying they've got great young talent, on the other hand saying they haven't had any decent picks so haven't got any decent talent.
Just looking at that Collingwood list, it's miles ahead of Hawthorn's young guys. Hawthorn people can delude themselves all they want, but there's a reason their selections were high draft picks. Howe, Sicily, Lovell and Brand have all been glimpsed and haven't been particularly impressive. Sicily's done a few good things, but has very clear deficiencies in his game. I agree they'll improve, but I can't see any of them being much better than B Grade at best. Burton is the only one who looks like he has genuine talent and high level potential.
Hawthorn people will probably disagree, but I think the majority view would be that Hawthorn have the least talented young players in the league.

See here's the thing , we get two 23 and unders and say two 26 and unders and that effectively fills the void caused by continuous success. To be honest I probably agree with you. Hence why we are trying to get JOM and Mitchell.
But what a lot of people seem to ignore, is we still have a very good list of players in the 25-30 age bracket. So whilst those guys are still in the team, along with JOM & Mitchell we will still be competing for a top 4 spot.
The under 25 age bracket is a concern. But it is as expected due to where we have finished on the ladder over the last decade. Luckily for us in this new world of "destination clubs" its not as big of a concern as it would have been in the past, if quality players like JOM and Mitchell choose to play for us each year.
Although, you could forgive them having poor young talent when it's due to them being the most successful club over the last five years. If I was a Hawthorn fan, I wouldn't be crying about a lack of young talent when my team has just won three cups. That's entirely the point. Hawthorn on one hand saying they've got great young talent, on the other hand saying they haven't had any decent picks so haven't got any decent talent.
