Just makes me angry about 2014 again. Shit umpiring versus better service then you'd get from a $50k a night call girl aside, seeing what a difference kicking goals instead of points makes. Bloody still pissed at not hitting the side of a barn the 1st quarter of the prelim.

I think this year has been one of those 'soft' years. Hawthorn in 2014 would have beaten either of those sides out there today. I do not think there was a stand out side and I always had the feeling that sides like Sydney and Geelong could be beaten. As poor as we were we went within a kick of beating the Bulldogs.

Good luck and congrats to the Bulldogs but they had to win it this year or face another half century of oblivion.

Don't wanna put a negative on us, but today just made me realise even more so how far we are from the top.
The skills, commitment and ruthlessness to get there.
Whether it be dropping a player labelled the package to the seconds, putting your team first or EVERYONE buying into the game plan and singing off the same song sheet.

Watching Liberatore, Dalhaus, McRae and Bontempelli will themselves to win so many contests made me feel sorry for Wines. One man won't be able to beat that midfield on the inside by himself.
