I mean according to them they say they can manage to keep HH on their books and you could argue that Hartless for Gibbs would cost them the same amount of salary cap.

I think you've answered you own question, and I nearly posted Hartlett for Gibbs, but realised that would be pointless for them.

Have to say that is a pretty fair assessment from Plough.

There are things I disagree with slightly. I do expect a lot of improvement from within. I think both Crouch brothers will be better with another full pre-season. I also think that Gibbs will add class but I do believe that there are players from within the list that with another pre-season should be getting more games with the AFL team and should provide some of that class. The players I think can provide more depth and some class trough the midfield are Milera, Menzel, Hampton and possibly Knight.

and Greenwood. A big smokey to debut at some stage next year.

That seems like a crap deal for Port. Awesome deal for Carlton. So-so for Adelaide.

I clearly rate Hartlett higher than you. At his best he is a gun. His problem is he is a bit injury prone. The only reason Port want to get rid of him is because they are tight on the salary cap.

Dunno if I can see that. I distinctly remember Deledio laughing at the idea of coming to Crows off when asked about it earlier this year.

He'll be 30 at the start of next season and missed half this year with a soft tissue injury. Class, but that's a top up for a premiership player, so you really wouldn't want to pay too much to get him or too much in salary.

That Collingwood supposedly are paying Wells $600k for 3 years astounds me.
