What are you talking about?! I didn't say he was shit, just pointing out that he's a risk. Then don't offer him 700k a year if you think he's shit.

Agree Hawks are good at weaselling themselves in to the ear of contracted player.Knowing us, its already done.
I wouldn't say 41 is a nothing pick in this draft.and have to delist 2 more players and take 2 picks at the end pf the draft. Trading down for points is pretty much not worth it with the new rules.
Wow, 2 examples, I'm sold. It's not like there's a significant host of players who haven't made it or anything.Perspective
Clay smith - 3 years out. Tears a finals series apart
Dan Menzel - 4 years. Excellent return to football

Hawks have no one to blame but themselves.
They traded their 2016 first round pick to Tom Mitchell. That was their choice. If they still had that pick plus pick 10, this deal would be done. They can't cry that they are offering all they have when they placed another player higher than JOM.
Hawks have made their bed, they have to lie in it now.
No you are whining that we want a 1st and a player who's injury prone yet can happily offer him big bucks and not bat an eyelash. What are you talking about?! I didn't say he was shit, just pointing out that he's a risk.

None I can think of pursued so heavilyWow, 2 examples, I'm sold. It's not like there's a significant host of players who haven't made it or anything.
WatsonAnd that he won't hurt other teams at Essendon
I'm not sure they'd struggle to find players to delistthats not what I'm saying.
clubs now have to have as many list spots as picks. So if they trade one pick (pick 8) for 3 late picks for points for academy players, they will have to delist 2 more players and take 2 picks at the end of the draft e.g. 75+.
No, I'm pointing out that it's all well and good to want more out of the deal but it's better to take that than lose him for nothing. As for the offer, you may not have noticed, but we've had a bit of success lately so we can afford to take a bit of a risk.No you are whining that we want a 1st and a player who's injury prone yet can happily offer him big bucks and not bat an eyelash.

No. 1 draft pick.
I believe if he's fully fit he wouldn't simply just hurt his opponent (or other teams), he'd dominate them.
We've evolved into a non-entity in this tradeSorry to disturb you BF posters...did anyone mentioned that Essendon are hard to deal with in this thread yet?
Tony Sheahan is pretty confident Suns and Swans are talking. What the hell is going on.
Someone slap some sense into me.
We do it late enough you can't stump up a deal to gcs (whatever you can put together now)
Gives us a few weeks to meet with him and his mgmt
Once he knows he's going to come to us with pick 8, we suggest psd. Makes his new team better
A hawthorn contact actually.where you hear mate? a journo? or Bob from across the road, makes a bit of a difference

None of our players want to go to your coch-stain of a club - not our faultGee I wonder why Hawthorn are offering him 700k a year then? Hmm I don't know, let me think about that. You guys says he's injured but are willing to trade away 2 club legends and offer him crazy money but complain when GC ask for a 1st round pick and a player for him. Absolutely insane.
Yeah we picked up Burgoyne in that trade because Port wouldn't offer him more than one year because of his knee (similar issue to JOM's knee) 7 years and 3 flags later....that trade netted us Carlisle, who we then got Francis for.
Shotgun we took to see if we could fix after you couldn't get his knee right
Hear that Jaeger. couldn't get his knee right.![]()
