I really don't know why people would purchase his book, I doubt he has ideas worth reading. He needs to speak as his character is the entertaining part.

Like most comedians he is there for money, but I think he has done a service by exposing the extreme left as violent, which will be handy for the greater left to become more reasonable and win back support lost in between the last elections.

You can't bang on about how violent 'the left' is, and then praise someone for 'exposing' it every time some societal skidmark gets their feelings hurt.

1. Create an 'other' (Not you or me... someone other than us).
2. Turn that other into a boogeyman.
3. Drill the fear of that boogeyman into everyone constantly.
4. Repeat the mantra "If you're not with us you're with the boogyman".
5. Simultaneously act the victim and the hero.
6. Let the world know that you and your ideals are the only thing that can keep them safe.
7. Repeat steps 4 - 6 for years while using anything that happens that can be embellished to loosely back up your stance. (if nothing available just make it up).

Authoritarianism is where the violence comes from and where fascists got their reputations, which is why I am first and foremost libertarian because I am anti-violence. Currently the left is leaning more authoritarian than I am comfortable with, which I why I am taking a hiatus and supporting rights not the right.

Yes I can, because parties aren't intrinsically stagnant. In the late 1800's early 1900's the political parties switch platforms. The Democrats switched being socially conservative and became progressive and the right vice versa.

Both sides are capable of incredible violence. Left: Maoists and Communists Right: Fascists and Nazi's. Like I said in the above posts generally when they adopt authoritarianism as a modus operandi.

Like I said as well, I am atheist, pro-drug, pro-gay marriage, pro choice, pro-immigration but also pro-free speech they are all based in the rights of the individual which is a traditionally liberal perspective. So I have invested interest in liberals becoming more moderate because I think the current extremism will only scare people away.

Two things have worried me recently; the extreme left is ignoring nuance/context in order to label people negatively and the increased justification for violence. (black lives matter riots which eventuted in the killing of 5 police officers, the inauguration day and Berkeley riots)

I'll use the example of Muslims, aggressive and insulting behavior towards them conditions them to be radicalized easier. Now I'd say the same is true of conservatives. In the process of labeling them Nazi's and then causing violence towards them, will radicalize them and solidify racist and bigoted ideas. After all people are mostly influenced by their personally experiences.

Its only anecdotal evidence from current day, but I found a study (http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.147.6141&rep=rep1&type=pdf) from 2006 that said it was about 3% and 17% in social sciences.

Based on the levels of activism and extreme left ideology in the recent years I'd suggest it's likely to be more prevalent today.

I wasn't saying they would, I was saying they have the right to feel victimized by a desire to import people who share the same ideologies of those who have killed their loved ones and then to be told chin it or they are racists.
