You cant go with Witts at R2, unless you plan on looping Nank in, but then you may as well just start Nank as R2.

Also, at Beams price, even if you go with option 2, you should look to bring him in. 150K cheaper than what he is worth.

Tuohy and rookie.

Roughy may take some time to settle back in, and Marchbank isn't that much better than a solid rookie option anyway.

Jaeger, if the guy is fit he is much better than Steele. And he looks fit and ready to go.

Steele, im inbetween about Jaeger. Dont think he will average as much as people want. Steele may be the same, but Steele has better support around him

If you're confident Cripps won't struggle early because of his lack of preseason, Gray and Cripps is fine

So if I had to choose

Treloar (will push 115+) and Gray (will go 110), with the aim to get Cripps in later, expecting a lower TOG% early on resulting in lower scores, making him a juicy first mid upgrade

If you dumped one of the other Doggies then Bont but 4 is too many to have, especially as starters, what if another Doggie is the big bolter this year, would you really want to have 5 of them making up your 22?
Out of the other 2 I'd go Gray, Cripps would destroy his early draw if fit, but he looked pretty lame in his first outing (only played a quarter iirc) and back injuries aren't fun. Only issues with Gray is the round 9 bye, which isn't huge if you have no other players with that bye, and when Hinkley is a scumbag and plays him at FF all day.

Obviously I watched Cripps play every game last year and had him in Supercoach, his tank is not the issue at all. In fact he got better as games went on last year, what he lacks is acceleration and pace but thats a topic for another day. As the game wore on last year Cripps kept contesting and tackling thats how he got a lot of his bigger scores towards the end of the year. From what I saw in JLT3 hes a lock for me.
