Did Richmond make a mistake drafting (trading for) Dion Prestia?

Gave up pick 6 for a midget who had a crook knee and has looked absolutely cooked the past month. Slow and turns it over by foot and tends to dumble alot. I don't remember him being this bad at GC

Could have had SPP or Will Brodie for the next 10-12 years but now they have someone who has underperformed and on a huge pay packet.

Its a pity they traded for Prestia we like trading with Richmond too... Hampson and Yarran being two standouts.

Please don't stop trading with us leave all other clubs alone. Remember you always want to rip us a new one and win in all trades.

If he didn't look this bad at GC then the answer is no.

His ball skills are poor but it was the right decision to get inside players
Cotchin and Martin are shining because of it

Wonder if they should have kept their powder dry and maybe snagged a cheap GWS inside player.

Anyone who doesn't think he is a good player has no idea. He's clearly a good player, has enough runs on the board at GC. His round 1 game was exceptional. Just struggling with fitness, he's probably the least of our worries.

How's Daisy working out for ya?

Gold Coast players are always buyer beware with their horrid injury management.

Though Josh Caddy got out early and he still isn't very good.

In time he will prove to be a solid player for them. As others have said he will take a bit of time due to his injuries and lack of preseason this year.

Good solid b grader who will be an important cog in the midfield over the next few years.. Reported to be on $800k a season though which is way to high for a player of his ilk IMO (and yes I know we're paying Mayne $400k-$500k, no need to raise that :)).

Because he's a real ordinary football player. He was talked up for years like he was going to be a jet, has never improved since.

Allowed them to strike now while they had quality elsewhere

Prestia, Caddy add depth right now, not in 3 years time

But Tigs need to use their next 3 first and second rounders on kids for sure

Unless they can snag a Patton or a Kelly type
