the difference between Easy and Normal difficulty is just laughable from a 100 point win to a 100 point loss.

If you have a player within at least 5 meters of you at a stoppage or in contested situations then you have approximately 0.01 seconds of getting rid of it or your getting tackled.

I just played my first game (Anzac Day rematch) and lost by 1 goal after being up 8 points at 3 quarter time. I'm honestly pleasantly surprised at how fluid the game plays and I think the interface especially is the best it's ever been. The controls do have a learning curve, which is good, and for the life of me I couldnt take marks when it counted. But seeing things like dribble goals and handball intercepts makes me think this game is definitely the best AFL game yet and on the right track.

Side note, is anyone elses second download not working? the 7 gig one installed but this next one just says 'cannot download'

* Soon as the ball is in the air, hold triangle button

* Let go of the triangle button as soon as the white circles meet.

* same goes for spoils just apply L2

= profit

Don't mind the gameplay apart from the lack of free players. Ball movement via handball is good fun, ball movement via kicking could use some work. I'm crap at spoiling/marking but hopefully that'll get easier with practice.

Is there a way to permanently edit your team selections for play now games? Obviously you can do it before each game, but I don't really want to have to do it each time. And why don't my bench players get subbed on the field when I've got it set to full auto?

Go to the FanHub option, Select Team management, Select List Management, Go to the team you want and you can swap players around in the lineup to make them permanent.

It's growing on me now, starting to string some good passages together, marking is still a bit iffy but I feel I'm getting it now.

The right stick moves are a fantastic addition, especially when using them to get out of congestion. Can be a bit unrealistic at times, had Priddis weave around 3 tacklers and burst into an open goal.

This, one of the loading screen tips actually says it. Don't know how or why I didn't notice it earlier.

The advantage system after a free kick is fked too. If the ball is loose when you win a free kick, it's automatically advantage if you pick it up, no matter the situation (ie it's advantage if you pick it up with an opponent hot on your hammer). It only goes back to the person who received the free kick if the opposition are first to the ball.

Classic AFL 2006 carryover.

Seriously, how do you mark in this game? I know it says triangle (PS4), but I just played a match where I had 7 marks for the game to Hawthorns 103, they just chipped their way to goal.

I'm also finding myself panic handball a lot like I'm playing Live 1&2.

Game is buggy as ****. Players teleporting all over the place. The ball teleporting all over the place. Players jumping 20 meters to mark a ball. Players marking the ball out of bounds. Playing online against my mate he ran through the goals to rush a behind, he went around the goal post and came back into play, it was play on so I tackled him and got a free kick in the square. My player was lining up for a set shot, then half way through the run up he turned 45 degrees to the left and kicks it straight out on the full. Then there is this shit:



He quit and I got the win, rather than waiting the extra 3 seconds and giving me the draw (and the trophy )

Outside of all the bugs, the game is quite fun though. Hopefully this isn't just a game they release and forget about and actually try to fix it.

Marking/spoiling seems to be a lucky dip. Every your player gets bumped 15 meters off the ball for an uncontested mark or you some how dive between 6 players legs to mark or spoil it.

I really suggest changing your camera to end to end.

Makes a huge difference, allows me to kick to a players advantage or hit them on the lead.

What setting are u running? I just tried it in-game and was great for kicking but not much else

You can put yourself back on. Pause the game, go into the team lineup or whatever, and you can move yourself from the bench to wherever you want. I don't have the game but saw a streamer do that earlier. Seems there's a bug where the game won't put you back on the ground.
