Wow what just happened. Giving away a goal in the dying seconds of a quarter is something we do fast too often.

I felt like we were playing too cute in the 3rd.

The first half was as good as we've played for ages, surprising what a difference old fashioned man on man footy makes. Giving up two leads (50 points early in the third and a couple of goals late) shouldn't happen, but Adelaide are a bloody good side this year. There's no doubt we tired and as the match progressed man on man footy wasn't sustainable with Adelaide able to get a couple of steps ahead of their 'pies opponent. Grundy was buggered halfway through the third, copping a knock didn't help, which allowed Jacobs to have more influence. 3.3 vs 7.0 in the third didn't help either.

There really wasn't much Blair could do. He had nobody helping him between the boundary, if he just blindly kicked it forward you can be assured that ball was probably coming straight back.

I get that some people think we did well today to match it with the best team at the moment. In some ways, i might agree. We mixed it with them.... but the circumstances of the game are not the same as after a neck-and-neck, 4 quarter match.

For mine, it's just not good enough to NOT win after the lead we established after half time. Just not good enough.

Not good enough. We led by, and then blew, a 50 point lead. That is not acceptable, and cancels out for me any pride in the good play we showed at stages today.

We went from linking up with great separation and momentum going forward to this shit crowding the ball and flat footed handballing to a stationary player again.
I hate the way we play and I hate that it happens every week, this was a terrible performance and we may as well have lost.

The ones that just gave up a 50 point lead by playing stupid timid football after half time, the forwards stopped working hard to lock it in and the Stupidest thing I have seen was going long from that defensive kick in with 15 bloody seconds on the clock when we should have manufactured short options and milked the clock.
This is a results driven business and that was a game where we threw it away yet again, Buckley has proven time and time again he cannot stop the rot once a team gets a run on and if this has not ended his coaching career with us nothing will.
