Hawkins only got two, because he had loading from other brain fades. Would normally have just been one and given Merrett was also rubbed out, its clear now that anyone who punches at all will be suspended. No cure for dumb.

Whats wrong with playing a final at Spotless ?

We had to last year - the stadium was close to but not full capacity - and I would have thought over half the crowd was Bulldogs - and that was a PF not a QF

If the giants had more than 5000 members it might be more of an issue.

PS: I complained last year that they were going to play a PF there, but my doubts were proved wrong.

It's just too small. It was a great ground to watch at and the atmosphere was unbelievable but playing it at a 22k stadium would be too small.

I've never seen Richmond supporters so excited in my lifetime, they'll be coming out in force and the Giants surely have more fans than last year.

If they want to keep playing finals there, there needs to be a significant upgrade. Up to 40k at least

And the clubs a whole lot more seeing as they hire a QC pretty much every time. And it would waste everyone's time on a monday or tuesday night.

Merrett's issue was that he hit him with a closed fist, doubt they appeal even with his good record as it seems the MRP are taking a stance to help get rid of that aspect of the game.

Yeah, probably wouldn't fix things but it would be interesting to see the defence bring up how cases in the past have been dealt with - or not dealt with. And it would highlight bad decisions by the MRP / tribunal.

Saw them play us in Cairns- the Suns have serious talent coming through, if they can retain their players. They should have sticked with Rocket, get rid of Ablett and had enough guts to stay the course.

Sad for Rocket, I've always liked him, gave it a good crack but he was stuck in an unfortunate situation.

It will be interesting who the replacement is. John Barker and Stewart Dew are the favourites again, maybe this is the one Barker finally gets. Dew never wants to leave Sydney so I'm not sure he'll take it.

Brett Ratten would be one I'd be looking for. Did a decent job at Carlton, plus you'd think he'd have learn from his mistakes and added a few strings to his now during his Hawthorn tenure. Think his ready for a second crack at it but he might not want to move interstate either.
