If that was the case, he wouldn't want to go to Carlton or North Melbourne. The important thing is that he gets to play in front of big crowds. Thats more important than flags if you use bf logic
I've been to their games, talk about no atmosphere.

I don't think the Crows are that desparate to hand over 2 1st rounders for a player that will turn 29 at the start of next year.Carlton wouldn't accept crows 1st and 3rd picks last year (Which would be better than this year)... Gibbs has had s much better year this year, and is still contracted for a couple of years.
You're kidding yourself if you think Carlton will accept a single first rounder this year

Two first rounders to me is the price of someone like Kelly who is a gun and is 22yo. Probably including a top 10 or so.
Gibbs, as good as he is, is not worth two first rounders. Probably the Crows' (late) first plus something else... because he's a SURE THING for another 3 years at least. Potentially up to 5. At that sort of price, both teams can "win".

Gibbs might get you 17 and change (53 or next years 2nd/3rd round pick swap)
I can't see 3 & 17 appealing to GWS. They want Rayner.
The mids available at pick 3 and whoever they snagged at 17 would be unlikely to get a game in the GWS side for at least a couple of years, and that's provided they are good enough, and of course, they become trade targets again and the cycle begins all over again for GWS. Rayner however, fills a hole left by SJ and potentially Devon Smith. I also think they are going to have to change up the Patton/Cameron/Lobb mix.
Gibbs hasn't even made All Australian in ten seasons. Why on earth would you think he is anymore than the already generous suggestion of 1 first rounder?Carlton wouldn't accept crows 1st and 3rd picks last year (Which would be better than this year)... Gibbs has had s much better year this year, and is still contracted for a couple of years.

you simply don't know that yetIts important to remember..next years had 3 outstanding kids that would all go number 1 in this draft
clubs might trade to get a pick 1,2,3 next year..that will affect North as they could be bottom 1,2or 3 next year
gws can't expect pick one even if they wanted it, but could expect a high pick, say 3, and a low first round draft pick.
pick one essentially means he goes to lions and no where else, trading doesn't work that way - it often involves all parties making compromises but still content with the outcome.
I'm more confident than Reid was when he declared to the media that Gibbs was going to Adelaide.
They can push to get pick one as a negotiation. An honorable destination club would make a strong attempt to fulfill GWS's wishes, and I believe Brisbane will be open to good offers. If it's in the case of North, then it's whether GWS prefer pick 1 to 4 & 21 and in the case of the former, whether Brisbane prefer 4 & 21 to pick 1. I don't think the lions will prioritise Rayner and pick 4 still allows them a good midfield prospect. Adding pick 21 to 14 & 18 allows them even more depth if bids come for Ballenden in the 1st round.
Not if pick 1 is already traded to GWS. Trading DOES work like that.
Literally every single year, the next year is a superdraft, without exception.you simply don't know that yet
Twice you mentioned you're just stating facts, but both times your arguments seemed to be based on what Damien barrett said... those 2 statements are mutually exclusive. You should get your facts right too. Has been on Triple M Footy last 3 weekends. Damien Barrett and Garry Lyon were discussing the Bryce Gibbs and Levi Casbouly scenario along with Daisy Thomas contracts.
Barrett was mentioning Blues not giving into Levi's managers demand and $300k offer not likely to change and Daisy Thomas deal close to being finalised but looking positive. I'm only quoting the facts and what I heard on radio which you obviously don't listen to.
So you can go get ******* and ***** ****** and also **** ***** ****** ******. I'm sure you can fill in the gaps and go get your facts right. Yes I do agree North fans are deluded and another quote are Blues are most likely to get him fro what Ralph Carr has reported so this isn't coming from me.
Croad is all I can think of which was way more than 10 years ago.Trying to think of a time in the last ten years (or even further back) when a club with pick 1 has traded it for any reason, or when a club losing a player has demanded it for a trade to get done.
I can't.

The downside however is that he would have to play for North or Carlton. No way he is going to Essendon.
The kid is 22. If he plays for North or Carlton he can live and work in the inner city whilst studying part time at the uni around the corner. If he plays for Essendon, he lives in the burbs and sits in airport traffic everyday like a middle-aged baggage handler. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

To the degree of this year?
Yes.
THIS draft was supposedly a 'super draft'

So was the year before

And they're just the ones i can be bothered looking up.
Literally every year there is hype about the following years draft
But I honestly reckon they have made a bigger deal (than normal) about it this year.
Or maybe it's just your observation bias.
Where it's the same old crap as every other year- except you're paying more attention this year and looking for information you want to hear?
Like when you buy a new car and suddenly you see them everywhere.
If that was the case, he wouldn't want to go to Carlton or North Melbourne.

I'm sad to say that I've never been to a home game before. Not enough BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?
You seen the crop of 27 ......woweee !!!Literally every single year, the next year is a superdraft, without exception.
