bit more than 40% attending games are women - quite a bit less than 40% on the podcast were women - no-ones fault - I'd just like a well-rounded commentary from a more accurate representation of supporters - I love it when meb is on and would also love to hear other female contributions
OK. Now we have reason. I personally don't care whether Kermit the Frog comes on if he has something to say, but I wouldn't deny him just because he's a frog. I don't have your circle of friends and I don't personally give a **** whether we have 4 men or 4 women on, if the content and discussion is worthy and interesting.
Why should it matter? It shouldn't should it?
Why would one choose to not listen to a program just because there isn't a female involved? Remember you didn't call for x or y, because of their knowledge of the draft. You just told us you won't listen because a female wasn't involved. Is that right?
We all have a long way to go, but exclusion of something just because it doesn't meet ones personal criteria is a bias. Thanks for the chat....seriously.

That's fair enough but it isn't by design that we don't always have a female representative. We certainly throw out the invitations. In this case the 2 most prevalent draft posters were invited and just happened to be male.
I wouldn't like to think that our opinions are not as valid because we don't represent diversity. Everybody who comes on, male or female is worried about what they can contribute, and I want to keep encouraging them to come back.

says more about you than me I fear that you are so riled up about my comment - I used to get that way - different now - think I must have lost the energy - your resistance is worth looking at though - believe me you'll feel better about yourself when you come to understand your stance on equality - or lack of it - I just tire of the blokiness is all - like cricket commentary and every other televised sport known to humankind - I believe my comment was I wouldn't hurry back without women being a part of it - extreme activism right there.......

Agree with this.
The podcast was great, both from information and entertainment perspectives.
Having men and women on the broadcast adds to the breadth of opinions, and as Thy said, I believe we have a far greater gender balance compared to any other football code. This is a strength of AFL and having men and women on the podcast will reinforce that advantage.

Worth always keeping in mind that diversity isn't just about what's between your legs or the colour of skin either.
We had four people that represented four points of view, four different geographic states (I believe), two different generations, four different careers or occupations, and at least three different levels of sobriety.
At the end of the day we can only be who we are.
All I'll say on this topic because to me, it is detracting from something we are doing for the sake of the BF Carlton community that takes huge amounts of time and effort.
