I've decided this year that I was never going to really succeed with the proven Premo-Rookie strategy, so went with a different setup with a few speculative mid-pricers to step up and a few guys i thought were ready to explode.
Only 1 game into a 198 game season so the perfect time to draw definitive conclusions of course. Cripps (530k, 27% ownership, 130 points) and CCurnow (406k, 4% ownership, 126 points) is a very handy start.

Anyone who didnt pick dusty and cripps is really gonna regret it. Both are absolute guns. Dusty is gonna tear it up for the start of the year, after adelaide he plays at the MCG for 4 weeks straight against teams that didnt make the 8

Risky pick because i had some extra cash that i didnt know how to spend. Essentially i was hoping for him to continue his JLT form while rotating through the midfield. I know for that price his job security is very low but honestly apart from keeping cash spare there were not an abundance of options that i liked. If he doesnt improve i will probably end up downgrading him on the bubble but 59 for his price is not actually that terrible.

It’s not terrible but it’s pointless when you can get 59 from a rookie 150k cheaper. Use that 150 to upgrade a mid who’ll net you more points and the rookie will then make you more $$$ than Ellis would.

In terms of a similar ceiling, yes. On a consistent basis, moreso hopeful.

Also based on my thinking that Dusty’s average would come down to meet Neale around the 110 mark. Not off to a good start!

Who else picked Jack Graham? $268k, his tackling should keep his scores acceptable even when he doesnt touch it much and I cant see him being dropped easily.

It's one game.

He needs a lot of it to score well, hopefully his body holds up.

I think the 500k level held a lot of very good players, he won't be the only one to score well for his price.
