As I've said previously, Corey wwill have to dominate every week to just be given a pass mark.
Last night he wasn't on his own in not having a major impact, by my count there were at least half a dozen premiership players that struggled to have their normal impact on the game, but hey they're premiership players so never mind.
Last night wasn't his best game by any stretch, but again he took steps in the right direction. He ranked equal 6th for pressure points behind Graham(101) Cotchin(52) Butler(48) Conca(44) Edwards(43) C.Ellis & Caddy(42). His score was a 30% increase on his 2017 average, he also had a 30% increase in his contested possessions average from 2017. He also had 5 intercepts which was equal 4th most for the team.
Like I said not the greatest game, but steps in the right direction given a criticism has been that he doesn't win his own footy and doesn't get involved enough when not in possession and a bit timid.
As the old saying goes, you need to walk before you can run and Corey is just starting to walk with 24 games under his belt and entering his 4th season. More confidence and he'll be off and running before too long.
