A storm in a teacup. Nothing to see here just Robbo stirring the pot. Truth of the matter is MM was horrible at Carlton. It was a wasted period that set us back. He was a great coach - just not for us, the game had passed him by and we paid the price for selecting him on reputation.
I actually like it when people have a go at us. It means they still harbour a hatred and fear of us and are going to kick us while they can. They print things because we are click bait. I say do your worst.
We will be strong again and I want to have that swagger. I look forward to a time when the opposition look at Carlton again and say, albeit begrudgingly, they are the best in the business.

We shouldn't be so harsh on Robbo.
He's one part journalist, one part shit stirrer, one part raconteur, three parts burboun, two parts vodka, four parts cask wine and I suspect a garnish of methylated spirits.

They've certainly gone pretty hard at us in the past few weeks the HUN. Minimal mention of games and maximal scandals, such as the social media storm over grey shorts, JSOS creating a 'wedge' between Bolton and SOS and now the MM 'disrespect'. The clickbait age sure has changed editorial balance from 20 years ago, the goal seems to lean more now towards the inflammatory.
At least it’s giving the add a bit of extra publicity

You can tell it's written by Carlton supporters, for Carlton supporters.
Plus it's not just having a laugh, there's an actual point/campaign behind it in attracting lapsed members.

Lots of smugness & banter yes. Normally happens after a golden era.
More to do with other clubs being jealous than us been extremely arrogant. 15 other clubs couldn't wait to sink the boots in even though they were all doing the same thing at various levels. Slobbo's team won 2 Premierships in 93 & 2000 (2000 had a sneaky scheme) whilst over the cap. Piece of hypocritical crap is Robbo
Elliot was more known for his banter than his arrogance. The problem with Elliot in his second part of his tenure is that he was drunk too often & became reckless whilst the competition was becoming professional.
