Under Pip they underachieved. They're the team that should've challenged us the last few years but didn't. I don't think they've rectified much. When they won they tapped up the best player of the opponents in the final. Just before that only Chels were in their way and they horrifically lost. Don't really see a team of winners, obviously Hamez is.

I was watching that game on TV in the early morning and couldn’t believe it. Zidane showed his class at the end.

My mum was in Athens during the tournament and she called me after the Semi Final and Final. I couldn’t hear her the noise levels were that loud.

That English team was exceptionally good. Along with Euro 96 and World Cup 98, the best English teams I've seen. Sol Cambell had a goal chalked off in E.T vs Portugal, as he did vs Argentina 98. What are the chances of having not one but two goals ruled out in knockout ties. Beckham's infamous pk in the shootout, Vassell missing too. I was also at the QF match.

That England team was great but they definitely shot themselves in the foot against France. Even a draw to finish 1st in their group and they would’ve loved their chances against Greece considering the gulf in talent. As you’ve mentioned, England have always found ways to lose.
