It all just seems to be adding up to me that he is leaving.
I’m not sold on the “injury” story.

I think he has told them he is leaving at the end of the year and this four week “injury” will turn into a season ender, which will lead to him indicating his desire to leave Gold Coast.

I normally don't subscribe to theories such as this, but a part of me thinks this is a possibility. What makes me suspicious is that Lynch's knee injury just came out of nowhere without any indication of it last weekend and there just happens to be a tweet that his manager "met with his preferred club on the weekend".

From memory Prestia did the same thing, had an "injury" came back & decided to take the rest of the season off to get it right.

Let’s be honest, do we need him?? We have a lot of talls developing and will cost a lot of money. Guaranteed to lose a couple of best 22 players if we get him.

He would make us a better side. We would be so much more clinical going forward. The thought of Jack and Lynch being our two talls with Dusty resting and having Butler, Rioli and Castagna at their feet is a mouth-watering prospect.

If we don’t go for Lynch we should try to sign an A grade mid. I reckon we need to go hard for flags now that we’re in our window.

Yes it’ll change, but I just think it’s very unsettling to get a player in from a shit team on that amount of coin. Fraught with danger because players have egos.
